Che X will be the first radio person to interview Vic Sadot since he arrived
in the Bay Area. Vic will play songs live and talk with Che X about the songs
on the new CD. Upon arriving from Delaware in the Bay Area Vic performed for
the Marin County Green Party reception with Otis Scarcroe for Presidential candidate
Cynthia McKinney.

Vic has sung solo at autumn open mikes at Country Joe McDonald’s Monthly
at Café de la Paz and the Starry Plough in Berkeley, and at Revoluti
on Café in Oakland. He also attended a song swap circle at the venerable Faith Petric’s house for a gathering of the Freedom Song Network.

Vic Sadot has been an activist since his college days when campus activists at the University of Delaware convinced him that we were being lied to about the Vietnam War. Songwriter Phil Ochs became a hero to Vic and his brothers and sisters from 1968 until Ochs’ shocking suicide in 1976. In May of 1973 Vic was a community volunteer at Georgetown University’s WGTB. He jumped at the opportunity to interview Phil Ochs. Vic wrote a tribute song to Phil Ochs a year after Ochs died: Broadside Balladeer.

Vic’s current project is a Limited Edition collectors item fitting for a first announcement on a show like Pirate Cat Radio’s “Notes from the Underground”. The show will be archived and available for mp3 download within 2 hours after the broadcast concludes. “9/11 Truth & Justice Songs” was begun in Delaware studios. Vic moved to Berkeley, California in September of 2008.

With the help of the Northern California 9/11 Truth Alliance and some new friends, Vic has produced a Limited Edition CD titled 9/11 Truth & Justice Songs. The new CD has studio quality mixes for all 12 songs. Featured cuts would be such songs as Cheney’s in the Bunker, Ballad of William Rodriguez, Trouble in the Rubble, Ballad of Pat Tillman, and Broadside Balladeer.

9/11 Truth & Justice Songs CD is available from Vic at concerts or street actions with the SF 9/11 Truth Action group, which has a monthly gathering at 11 am on the 11th of every month at Hallidie Plaza at 16th & Market Streets in San Francixco.
