Washington ? Revisiting the issue that helped spur her ouster from Congress three years ago, Rep. Cynthia McKinney led a Capitol Hill hearing Friday on whether the Bush administration was involved in the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

The eight-hour hearing, timed to mark the first anniversary of the release of the Sept.…

Karl Rove’s “Understanding of 9/11”

by Kristen Breitweiser

The Huffington Post

Editor’s Note:
For morbid fascination, you can hardly top the neocons’ relentless cynical exploitation of their 9/11 myth. Not content with their initial trifecta win — bankrupting government services, shredding the Bill of Rights and launching endless imperial wars, they are now obviously out to milk it to perpetuate one-party rule. Rove certainly does “understand 9/11” or at least the profit in its abuse.

Mr. Rove, the first thing that I would like to address is Afghanistan – the place that anyone with a true “understanding of 9/11” knows is a nation that actually has a connection to the 9/11 attacks.…

The 9/11 Commission Report: A 571-Page Lie

by Dr. David Ray Griffin

In discussing my second 9/11 book, The 9/11 Commission Report: Omissions and Distortions, I have often said, only half in jest, that a better title might have been “a 571-page lie.” (Actually, I was saying “a 567-page lie,” because I was forgetting to count the four pages of the Preface.) In making this statement, one of my points has been that the entire Report is constructed in support of one big lie: that the official story about 9/11 is true.…

The War on Paperclips

– I worry that I’m turning into a conspiracy theorist

AL Kennedy

The Guardian/UK

OK, I’m paranoid and depressed. My new government of troglodytes, murderers and spivs barely elongates the customary scream I give upon waking. What troubles me more is our rulers’ inevitable recommencement of the war on terror bollocks.

To begin at what we’re told is the beginning, we have 9/11 – the one in the US, not the earlier one in Chile when covert US government intervention killed thousands of innocents and handed the country to a commerce-friendly, torture-loving, far-right junta.…

Proof Bush Fixed The Facts

“Intelligence and facts are being fixed around the policy.”

Never in our wildest dreams did we think we would see those words in black and white—and beneath a SECRET stamp, no less.  For three years now, we in Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity (VIPS) have been saying that the CIA and its British counterpart, MI-6, were ordered by their countries’ leaders to “fix facts” to “justify” an unprovoked war on Iraq.? More often than not, we have been greeted with stares of incredulity.…

FBI Linguist won’t Deny Intelligence Intercepts tied 911 Drug Money to U.S. Election Campaigns

by Tom Flocco

Washington — Former FBI contract translator and whistleblower Sibel Edmonds and her attorneys were ordered removed from the E. Barrett Prettyman U.S. Courthouse so that a three-judge U.S. Court of Appeals panel could discuss her case in private with Bush administration lawyers.

Editor’s Note:
The irrepressible Mr. Flocco’s take on the Perils of Sibel.

In an exclusive interview on Saturday, we asked Edmonds if she would deny that laundered drug money linked to the 911 attacks found its way into recent House, Senate and Presidential campaign war-chests, according to what she heard in intelligence intercepts she was asked to translate.…

A Gradual Awakening

It takes a long-term view to see our way out of this gloom.

By Ken Jenkins

It was early 2005. It was a time of malaise, of vague apprehension, of depression, of disbelief, of foreboding and dread. It was the time after Bush&Co stole yet another election and we faced 4 more years of an ongoing, ever-darkening nightmare. It was long enough after the election to have moved beyond the shock and denial, but not far enough to have fully accepted and grokked our predicament, or to have the foggiest idea what the heck to do next.…

All We Want Is the TRUTH

By Ward Reilly

“If ever time should come, when vain and aspiring men shall possess the highest seats in Government, our country will stand in need of its experienced patriots to prevent its ruin.”

— Samuel Adams

“The Constitution is not an instrument for the government to restrain the people, it is an instrument for the people to restrain the government – lest it come to dominate our lives and interests.”

— Patrick Henry

“It is the duty of the patriot to protect his country from its government.”

— Thomas Paine

My friend Dennis Kyne wrote a song that we recorded together while he was staying at my home in January.…

We’re all paranoid

By Steven T. Jones
SF Bay Guardian

Sure, the people with the 9/11 conspiracy theories are a little odd. But not everything they’re saying is entirely crazy.

THE GRAND LAKE Theater in Oakland was filled almost to capacity March 10, just as the Guild Theatre in Menlo Park was the night before and the Herbst Theatre in San Francisco would be the next night, all for a documentary with bad production values and even worse leaps of logic.…

Secret US plans for Iraq’s oil

By Greg Palast

Reporting for Newsnight
BBC News

The Bush administration made plans for war and for Iraq’s oil before the 9/11 attacks, sparking a policy battle between neo-cons and Big Oil, BBC’s Newsnight has revealed.

Two years ago today – when President George Bush announced US, British and Allied forces would begin to bomb Baghdad – protesters claimed the US had a secret plan for Iraq’s oil once Saddam had been conquered.

In fact there were two conflicting plans, setting off a hidden policy war between neo-conservatives at the Pentagon, on one side, versus a combination of “Big Oil” executives and US State Department “pragmatists”.…

Open Letter to Richard A. Clarke regarding War Games, 9/11 Timeline and Myers/Rumsfeld Testimony

Editor’s Note:
There has been so little journalistic attention to 9/11 truth that glaring factual contradictions in the “official narrative” can go unremarked in the media for months if not years. In the following letter, co-founder Kyle Hence urges Richard Clarke (former counter-terrorism ‘czar’ for both Bill Clinton and George W. Bush, Author, Against All Enemies: Inside America’s War on Terror) to deal with the fundamental inconsistencies between his writing and testimony regarding 9/11 and the version released as gospel by the 9/11 Commission.

9/11 Report Cites Many Warnings About Hijackings

By Eric Lichtblau,

New York Times

WASHINGTON (Feb. 9) – In the months before the Sept. 11 attacks, federal aviation officials reviewed dozens of intelligence reports that warned about Osama bin Laden and Al Qaeda, some of which specifically discussed airline hijackings and suicide operations, according to a previously undisclosed report from the 9/11 commission.

But aviation officials were “lulled into a false sense of security,” and “intelligence that indicated a real and growing threat leading up to 9/11 did not stimulate significant increases in security procedures,” the commission report concluded.…

New Jersey and Terrorism: Perfect Together

Part 2: The Good Doctor Who Wasn’t So Good

In Part 1 of this series I introduced you to three men from Jersey City who attempted to set up a weapons deal which included among other things, hundreds of Stinger Missiles and components for nuclear weapons. The weapons deal was part of a two and a half year investigation called Operation Diamondback which culminated with the arrests of two of the Jersey City men in June of 2001.…

Hunter Thompson on 9/11

From a March 2003 interview:

HT: He’s taken this nation from a, let me think looking at it from a, just objectively, from a prosperous nation at peace to a broke nation at war.

Right, but I mean, there were those assholes who flew the plane into the World Trade Center.

HT: Who were they indeed? Now, do you believe that, that a bunch of Arabs jumped up from some kind of a campfire and fucking mountains over there and snuck into this country and hijacked those planes and did that by themselves?…

Conspiracy Theories about Sept. 11 Get Hearing in Germany

Wall Street Journal online banner

Editor’s note: While ostensibly designed a slam/jeer piece, this is an amazingly ambivalent article that does blurt a lot of facts “out there” that certainly have never been breathed in this paper before. And for 9/11 at that time, we — like Miami Beach — believed, “There is no such thing as bad publicity.”

Distrust of U.S. Fuels Stories About Source of the Attacks By IAN JOHNSON THE WALL STREET JOURNAL

Hip-Hop Truth Leaders & Resources

Hip-Hop & 9/11 Truth

Photo of Paris

9/11 Truth in hip-hop began with Paris. No stranger to political controversy, this hip-hop legend came out of retirement to confront the man whose Daddy he stalked a decade earlier on the cover of his 1992 release Sleeping with the Enemy.

His latest release, Sonic Jihad, could be called the first CD dedicated to 9/11 Truth. Paris narrated the GNN classic  documentary Aftermath, and is well known for his controversial 1992 song Bush Killa.
