Interview by Cosmos Civil Disobedience at the White House for 9/11 Justice9/11 Truth News
9/11 Justice activist and researcher Jon Gold has announced his intention to chain himself to the White House fence this coming Monday, January 31. 9/11 Truth News asked Gold a few questions to find out more about the upcoming action.
9/11 Truth News: Why are you going to chain yourself to the White House?
Jon Gold: To try and bring attention to the fact that we were lied to about 9/11 and that there needs to be justice and accountability for what happened. That there are family members still seeking justice for what happened and that the people of the world deserve it. When you take into account what that day has been used for — and then think about the fact that we don’t exactly know what happened that day — that is an unacceptable situation. People are dying. If that day wasn’t what we were led to believe — and it wasn’t — then the people of the world need to know about it.
911TN: This seems like a somewhat extreme action to take. Do you think more standard forms of protest have been exhausted?
Jon Gold: I have been fighting for truth, accountability, and justice for what happened that day for almost 9 years now. I have tried every avenue I can think of to bring attention to this issue, to no avail. Contacting your Representatives does nothing. Contacting the media does nothing.… Continue reading

A UN expert on Palestinian human rights who suggested there was a cover-up
over the September 11 attacks should be fired, US Ambassador to the United Nations
Susan Rice said on Tuesday.
US academic Richard Falk wrote in a blog this month that there had been an
“apparent cover-up” by US authorities over the September 11, 2001
attacks, in which hijackers flew airliners into the World Trade Center in New
York and the Pentagon near Washington, killing more than 3,000 people.
“In my view, Mr. Falk’s latest commentary is so noxious that it
should finally be plain to all that he should no longer continue in his position
on behalf of the UN,” Rice said in a statement.
“I would note that US and many other diplomats walked out in protest
in September 2010 when Iranian President Ahmadinejad made similarly slanderous
remarks before the U.N. General Assembly,” she said, adding that Falk’s
comments were “despicable and deeply offensive.”
Falk, the UN Human Rights Council’s special rapporteur on human rights
in the Palestinian territories, wrote in his blog that mainstream media had
refused to accept “well-evidenced doubts about the official version of
the events: an al Qaeda operation with no foreknowledge by government officials.”
In a letter to Ban last Thursday, UN Watch, a Geneva-based advocacy group affiliated
with the American Jewish Committee, called on the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon
to “strongly condemn Mr. Falk’s offensive remarks — and …
immediately remove him from his post.”

We would like to extend our deepest thanks to Mark Stepnoski for generously
offering $10,000 to match all donations made to the BuildingWhat? campaign during
the last three days of 2010. Supporters across the country and around the world
rose to the occasion, giving nearly $30,000 on top of Mark’s $10,000 to
bring the campaign to $67,000. Thank you all for your generous support and your
belief in our strategy.
In the next few weeks we will be releasing a series of brand new TV ads. Without
giving anything away, we are confident in saying these new ads will generate
much publicity and create a groundswell of public demand for a new Building
7 investigation leading up to the 10th Anniversary.
To help pave the way towards that day, we have an important action item that
will take you only two minutes to complete. Please help us send 500
emails to the Speaker of the New York City Council to inform her that
2010 was only the beginning of our campaign, and our calls for the empanelment
an independent commission to investigate Building 7 will grow as the 10th Anniversary
of 9/11 approaches.
Once you send your email you will be asked to click a button to record your

MARTIN LUTHER KING OPPOSED WAR AND SPOKE OUT AGAINST IT
Dr. King’s words are as relevant today as they were almost 44 years ago; they could have been spoken yesterday.
Quotes from Martin Luther King’s sermon at the Ebenezer Baptist Church on April 30, 1967 opposing the Vietnam War and calling for “a revolution of values”:
“The time has come for America to hear the truth about this tragic war.”
“There comes a time when silence is betrayal.”
“…there are those who are seeking to equate dissent with disloyalty. It’s a dark day in our nation when high-level authorities will seek to use every method to silence dissent. Something is happening and people are not going to be silenced. The truth must be told.”
“… the greatest purveyor of violence in the world today, my own government.”
“There will be no meaningful solution until some attempt is made to know these people [the Vietnamese], and hear their broken cries.”
“A nation that continues year after year to spend more money on military defense than on programs of social uplift is approaching spiritual death.”
“Come home, America. I call on Washington today. I call on every man and woman of good will all over America today.”

Talks About His New DVD ‘9/11 Analysis’ and Rationalizes the Pentagon Debate
This timely and important Podcast is a MUST listen!

David, who describes himself as a “pacifist”, talks in great depth about his journey on the campaign for 9/11 Truth and Justice to which he is passionately dedicated. Many of you may be aware it was David who is credited with getting NIST to admit WTC Building 7 fell at a an acceleration consistent with free-fall due to gravity, which I and many others view as the single most powerful debating tool for us as 9/11 Truth advocates! David disputes he is solely responsible for this and says that Jones, Ryan and others were central to this achievement but it was his question that drew the answer in the end so it seems. David also talks about the highly political timing and nature of the NIST Building 7 report.

The official narrative of the events which have become known as 9/11 includes descriptions of attacks on the World Trade Centre towers and the Pentagon by aircraft on 11 September, 2001. The towers were eventually destroyed and the Pentagon was severely damaged. The account of the attack on the Pentagon includes the following: A Boeing 757, operated by American Airlines, took off from Washington Dulles International Airport at 8:20 a.m. At 8:54 it deviated from its assigned route and at 8:56 the transponder was switched off. The plane, under the control of hijackers, headed back toward Washington and descended. As it approached the Pentagon it performed a descending spiral to the right and finally dived toward the Pentagon while accelerating. It hit some light poles and other objects on the ground and then penetrated the west face of the building at 9:37:44,(1) or 9:37:46,(2) depending on source.
Various claims have been made about the attack on the Pentagon. Early claims included damage by a missile or a truck bomb.(3) However, as so many witnesses had reported seeing a large commercial aircraft approaching the Pentagon, these claims received little attention from the public. It was not until the data from the Flight Data Recorder (FDR) was received from the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) that serious consideration was given to alternative explanations of the damage. The data was received in two forms,… Continue reading

Newly Released 9/11 Commission Files at Cryptome.Org
Last week John Young’s information site Cryptome.Org began publishing documents related to the interviews conducted by the 9/11 Commission which were released for the first time. On January 3, Cryptome posted the 9/11 Commission’s report on my interview (the infamous Sibel Edmonds Case), and aptly titled this particular file as “Sibel Edmonds Censored Yet Again.” Once you read the PDF document you’ll quickly see the reason for Cryptome’s appropriate label. The entire report, by that I mean the entire report, is blacked out (actually, whited-out;-). It took me less than one minute to scan the entire document; basically, scrolling down the white pages-one white page after another. Initially, I was not a bit surprised. Hey, I’ve been declared the most gagged and classified person in US history, after all- State Secrets Privilege invocation twice, gagging the entire Congress for the first (and only) time in US history, hundreds of pages of blacked out DOJ-IG report… So, as I said, I didn’t find it a bit surprising. However, after the minute it took to go over these blank pages, I started clicking and scanning all the other files (interviews by the 9/11 Commission), and that’s where I was truly surprised:
Despite some redactions here and there, and in a few cases fairly extensive redaction, there were no interviews where the entire interview (and the report on the interview) was blacked out in its entirety. Mine was the only one… Continue reading

Fiction delivers justice that reality rarely approaches. Victims en dure suffering and emerge as victors after overcoming incredible challenges. Stieg Larsson’s gripping Millennium Trilogy weaves a story of revenge and triumphs for Lizbeth Salander, locked away in a mental institution and sexually abused for years. When Salander got out and threatened to go public about a high level sexual exploitation ring, the perpetrators sought to lock her up again. In the final installment, The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest, Salander found some justice. ( Image )
Susan Lindauer’s autobiography, Extreme Prejudice , tells a story with certain broad similarities. In her case, however, the hornet’s nest kicked back with a real vengeance. After over a decade as a U.S. intelligence asset, Lindauer was privy to information about pre war Iraq that threatened to serve up a huge embarrassment to the Bush-Cheney regime. She hand delivered a letter to senior Bush administration officials in hopes of averting what she predicted would be the inevitably tragic 2003 US invasion of Iraq. Those officials, unnamed in the indictment, were her second cousin, then White House chief of staff Andy Card, and Colin Powell.
After the invasion failed to find weapons of mass destruction (WMD), Lindauer went to Congress offering to testify about the quality of prewar intelligence. In early 2004, she met with staffers in the offices of Senators John McCain (R-AZ) and Trent Lott (D-MS) in February 2004. Shortly after those visits and other offers… Continue reading
WASHINGTON – The ill and dying Americans who answered the call after 9/11 received a “Christmas Miracle” on Wednesday – help is finally on the way.
More than nine years after the worst terrorist attack in U.S. history, the Senate voted unanimously to pass the $4.3 billion James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act.
The House quickly gave the measure its final stamp of approval. President Obama will sign the bill law soon.
The bill provides medical care and financial relief to tens of thousands of responders.
Many Capitol Hill insiders never believed the measure would pass, and some Republicans came within hours of killing it.
But a dramatic night of negotiations by New York lawmakers and the bill’s foes Tuesday night and into early Wednesday won an eleventh-hour compromise.
“It’s a good Christmas present for everybody,” said Joseph Zadroga, the father of NYPD Detective James Zadroga who died from his ruined lungs and became the face of the legislation.
Jennifer McNamara, whose firefighter husband, John, died of cancer blamed on 9/11, wept when she heard the news. She recalled how much her husband wanted his government to act for people who sacrificed. “Working for this day was such a part of my husband’s existence, and mine,” an emotional McNamara said.
“This is something that will help take care of people, and that’s something John would be proud of,” she said. “My Christmas… Continue reading

The Senate passed a bill by unanimous consent Wednesday that will provide health care benefits to first responders and survivors of the Sept. 11, 2001 terror attacks.
Original report follows…
Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK) earned himself a visit from some 9/11 first responders after he threatened to block a bill that would provide them health benefits.
A group of former Ground Zero workers visited the senator’s office Tuesday to give him a piece of their mind but Coburn refused the meeting.
“Mr. Coburn should be ashamed of himself,” John Feal, the leader of the group, told Think Progress. “Because I think before he was a senator he was a doctor and he took an oath to help people that are sick. He’s going against his oath as a doctor. He can vote any way he wants as a senator, but as a doctor, he just embarrassed the medical profession.”
“What about going office to office? Have their staff and the senators been very receptive to the group?” Think Progress asked.
“Once in a while we’ll run into some resistance and some arrogance and some rude people. Listen, we busted our asses since 9/11. We’ve fought and advocated for ourselves so others wouldn’t. So to be insulted by the staff of the United States Senate and Congress — most of them were 12 years old when 9/11 happened — doesn’t bother me,” Feal said.
All but one of the 42 Republican senators stood together last week… Continue reading

An Army Reserve colonel is suing the Pentagon and U.S. intelligence agencies, claiming that they violated his free speech rights by blocking the distribution of his book over concerns it threatened national security.
Lt. Col. Anthony Shaffer’s First Amendment lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C., targets the Defense Department for buying 9,500 copies of his book, “Operation Dark Heart” for $50,000 and destroying them. The lawsuit also names the Defense Intelligence Agency and the Central Intelligence Agency as defendants.
“Because the defendants have impermissibly infringed upon Shaffer’s right to publish unclassified information in Operation Dark Heart, they have violated Shaffer’s First Amendment rights,” the lawsuit says.
The suit provides a rare insight into the internal review process for the publication of books based on the search for senior Al Qaeda leadership in post-9/11 Afghanistan.
The lawsuit was filed by national security lawyer Mark Zaid and alleges that the book was compiled by Shaffer along with a former Washington Post reporter and author, Jacqui Salmon, who used unclassified or “open source” documents and independent interviews. The manuscript was submitted to Shaffer’s Army Reserve chain of command for review in June 2009 and ultimately given “a favorable legal and operational security review” in January. The court documents state, “the Army Reserve believed that the book had been reviewed and approved as having been completely clear of any classified information.”
The suit alleges that the Defense Intelligence Agency “claims to have… Continue reading

Susan Lindauer is a former U.S. Intelligence Asset, accused as an “Iraqi Agent” for opposing the war. Her new book, “EXTREME PREJUDICE–The Terrifying Story of the Patriot Act and the Cover Ups of 9/11 and Iraq” relates her ordeal facing secret charges and secret evidence on the Patriot Act, and the shocking conditions of her imprisonment on a Texas military base without a trial, threatened with indefinite detention and forcible drugging.
If only I’d known Julian Assange, everything would have been different.
Mine was a spook’s world of black ops and counter-terrorism. The real stuff–not color coded threats. For a decade I performed as a covert back channel to Libya and Iraq at the United Nations in support of anti-terrorism.
My special access made me one of the very few Assets covering Baghdad before the War. Our team started talks for the Lockerbie Trial with Libyan diplomats. We also held preliminary talks to resume the weapons inspections with Iraq’s Ambassador, Dr. Saeed Hasan. Once Baghdad agreed to rigorous U.S. conditions for transparency in the inspections, I notified the Security Council myself, and within 72 hours the UN invited Iraq to attend formal talks to ratify the technical language. By then it was a done deal. Contrary to official reports, Iraq always welcomed the return of weapons inspectors as a necessary step to ending the sanctions. Ordinary people just didn’t know it.
My world was “black.” Off radar. So deeply secretive that my father, brother, aunts and cousins had no knowledge of my work in Washington.…Continue reading

A Time Magazine ‘Person of the Year’ argues WikiLeaks serves the public good
A member of a group of former intelligence professionals that has rallied behind WikiLeaks suggested in a recent interview with Raw Story that the world would be a different and better place had the online secrets outlet come into existence years sooner.
“If there had been a mechanism like Wikileaks, 9/11 could have been prevented,” Coleen Rowley, a former special agent/legal counsel at the FBI’s Minneapolis division, told Raw Story in an exclusive interview.
Rowley and her colleague Bogdan Dzakovic, a special agent for the FAA’s security division, explained this position in an op-ed published in the Los Angeles Times in October. However, they admit no claim to the original idea of an established pro-whistle-blower infrastructure. It’s purely the US government’s, she said.
“That’s not even us,” she told Raw Story. “That’s not our personal opinion. We’re really reciting the conclusions of the 9/11 Commission
that attributed the failures of 9/11 to a failure to share information not only inside agencies, not only between agencies, but with the public and the media.”
“People have forgotten that that was the main conclusion of the 9/11 Commission,” Rowley added.
“The 9/11 Commission was based on four other major investigation inquiries,” she continued “One was called the Joint Intelligence Committee Inquiry. That started in Jan. 2002. It went on for well over a year. Then I testified to the Judiciary Committee, and… Continue reading

The Real News Network
PAUL JAY, SENIOR EDITOR, TRNN: Welcome back to The Real News Network. And it’s the first perhaps annual Real News Webathon. We’re heading towards our $200,000 target by the end of December 9, where I think we’re getting upwards of $165,000 now, with another tonight and tomorrow night to go. So we’re doing very well, and I want to thank everybody so far for donating. And if you like what The Real News is doing, please give us a little tap on the donate button here, or you can call 888-449-6772, or you can also email us at contact (at) therealnews (dot) com if you’re having any other trouble. But the best thing is just to hit the donate button. The $200,000, I’ve explained before, covers just barely four months of the work that we’re doing now at the level we’re doing now, but we really want to expand in 2011. We need producers that specialize in certain areas. And one of the areas we want to specialize is the military-industrial complex. We’d like to have a producer who does nothing but cover stories about the sort of underpinnings of US foreign policy and the real issues that don’t get discussed very much in terms of what’s driving much of global politics, and even, as I–in the current WikiLeaks there’s a layer of truth, one could say, that is not really revealed in these WikiLeaks, because they’re not top secret, as we’ve… Continue reading

911workernycsept11 Dems outraged as GOP blocks 9/11 responders health bill
May be end of the road for $7-billion aid package to heroes of 9/11
Senate Republicans on Thursday derailed a bill to aid people who got sick after
exposure to dust from the World Trade Center’s collapse in the Sept. 11 attack.
Supporters were three votes short of the 60 needed to proceed to debate and
a final vote on the bill that would have provided as much as $7.4 billion in
health care and compensation to 9/11 responders and survivors. The bill failed
on a test vote, 57-42.
Fifty-seven Democrats voted for the bill and 41 Republicans opposed it. Sen.
Harry Reid, the Democratic leader, switched his vote to ‘no’ at the last moment,
a parliamentary move that allows him to bring the measure up again for a vote.
The New York Times reports:
Republicans have been raising concerns about how to pay for the $7.4 billion
measure, while Democrats, led by Senator Kirsten E. Gillibrand of New York,
have argued that the nation had a moral obligation to assist those who put their
lives at risk during rescue operations at ground zero….
In a statement, [New York City Mayor Michael] Bloomberg chastised Senate Republicans
for their “wrong-headed political strategy” and called on them to
allow the bill to come to the floor for a vote. “The attacks of 9/11 were
attacks on America,” he said, “and we have a… Continue reading
