Website, Newswire, Email Alerts
Our main priority remains providing the best, most reliable online source for 9/11-related news, activism opportunities, and investigative information to which you can turn with confidence, knowing the information will be as well-vetted as we are able to confirm, and pertinent to the broad pursuit of truth that affects our lives now in so many areas. As Orwell continues to rolls in his grave, we attempt to post information not only about the outrages with which we're being pummelled, but also analysis and perspective, and as often as possible, actions you can take in response. At this point, 9/11 has been used as the justification for such egregious expansion of corporate and police-state incursions into our lives we are addressing much more than just the crimes of 9/11 themselves. If we are to appeal to and engage millions of Americans in joining us to correct the direction of this runaway train, we must continually post reminders of how we're still being affected by 9/11. Thus, you are seeing a broader scope of news subjects now being posted. We have available an RSS feed, picked up by many sites now, which provides links to 911truth.org stories as they are posted (available here).

9/11 Commission Documentation Analysis and Reporting
The 9/11 Commission requested that all documentation and reports supplied to them be made available, through the National Archives, by January 9, 2009. We have learned that a significant amount of that information will, indeed, become available soon. That means we need to assemble work groups now to begin digitizing, cataloging, and reviewing the data; a significant relational database must be built to help analyze the information; writers will be needed to review and assemble the information so that we can present it to you as quickly as possible. Once we see what information has been released (and how much of it has been redacted), we'll need to file Freedom of Information Act requests for missing documentation and reports. And we'll need to coordinate campaigns to push for the release of whatever information may be withheld. This project will be a huge undertaking, and we intend to work closely with other 9/11 truth organizations, as well as other groups that have been previously involved in information processing projects like this, working collaboratively to draw on existing strengths and skills in order to accomplish this momentous task.

New Administration, New Opportunities
President-elect Obama ran for office on a promise of hope and change… We intend to hold him to this promise, to urgently negotiate a change from the unprecedented secrecy implemented by the Bush Administration to much greater transparency. With the "hope" of "changing" our situation by overturning 9/11-based draconian measures such as the Military Commissions Act, Patriot Acts, Executive Orders and Security Directives, Continuity of Government measures, and the massive redirection of our money away from desperately needed domestic programs to military, police-state and mercenary funding, we believe we can help to restore our Bill of Rights, immediately end torture and secret rendition, end the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, and begin to right our nation's future path. We are working now to prepare proposals asking for significant changes that will lead to truth-telling, accountability, provision for the thousands of 9/11 first responders now in such desperate need, and more. Clearly, we will need to work closely with other organizations to effect these changes, and will continue to make that a high priority.

Grassroots Contacts Support
Nearly 200 grassroots organizers in as many cities (and nearly 40 countries) have now affiliated with us, and 911Truth.org will continue to provide networking, communication tools, support and encouragement to this semi-autonomous, decentralized group of courageous individuals and their local groups. We have been asked to provide regional "Activists' Tools" workshops, providing opportunities to learn about specific skills such as media communication techniques, group building, audio-video production and dissemination, dealing with group-dynamics issues, research/writing, etc. We would like to make this the year we are finally able to provide these workshops!

Coalition-building with Other Groups
We recognize the need to join forces with other groups working for government transparency and accountability. We will continue and increase our efforts in this arena in 2009, as we experience the changing of the guard now underway. In particular, we will work as closely as possible with groups pushing for justice for the Bush Administration's crimes, including investigation of potential 9/11 crimes (criminal negligence and obstruction of justice, at least). We also try to support legitimate truth-telling candidates for public office (particularly supporting third parties), groups working to end corporate personhood, and to reduce/remove corporate control over specific areas of our lives, such as media, banking, food production and supply, education, etc. State and Local Initiatives for 9/11 Truth & Accountability: As always, we try to identify mechanisms for state and local efforts, and support groups pressing for ballot initiatives, referendums, resolutions, etc.

National Conference--January 2008--Santa Cruz, CA
Our first gathering of 2008 was a phenomenal success! 300 participants gathered to brainstorm and strategize on how to build a new media network, resulting in amazing ideas and plans. Details and info has been posted, and is being updated by working groups, at Truthemergency.us and Truthemergency.pnn.com. Implementation of these ideas will take a concerted, long-term effort, and we are excited to be working with such broad-based activists in this critical area. You will begin seeing more 'New Media' articles posted at the site as the year progresses. An alternative newsire, which can replace all corporate media as a daily source for news, has been created as an outcome of this conference: mediafreedom.pnn.com/5174-independent-news-sources

Commissioned A National Poll for Summer 2007
Zogby/911Truth.org 2007 poll results were released September 6, 2007. Read the press release here. Our thanks to a few very generous donors for making this expensive process possible. Total cost for the poll was just over $6,000. Unfortunately, in spite of our best efforts, an official press release from Zogby, posting at their front page, and PRWeb release, the media has entirely blacked out this important information. The results: 51% of Americans support a new investigation, are very important to use in speaking with your elected officials. Please, make use of this project. Post the results to your websites, include a link in your email signatures, deliver them to your legislators, newspapers, clergy, and friends. We are not a "fringe minority" to be dismissed. We are a significant cross-section of mainstream America, and we demand to be heard!!

Grassroots Contacts Support, Continuing
The list of Grassroots Contacts grew during 2007 and 2008 by approximately 100 organizers in cities and towns across America, Europe, Australia, and South America, and we were able to make more resources available to them. We continue to hold monthly national conference calls, and provide daily support via email and phone to these great organizers.

Coalition-Building

This is an ongoing area of emphasis for us. In the last couple of years we have

• attended the national meeting of World Can't Wait in November 2008 in Chicago, which was extremely valuable

• participated with 27 other national/regional organizations at the NYC Emergency Impeachment Summit held in February, at which the Impeach07.org Coalition formed.

• traveled to Atlanta in August 2007 for the amazing, first-ever United States Social Forum, where we joined with some 15,000 other people to march through historic downtown Atlanta, caucus, and talk with hundreds of other groups and leadership, distributed thousands of fliers and DVDs, hosted four tables with other 9/11 truthers, presented a well-attended two-hour workshop on 9/11 and social justice. We prepared and introduced a referendum calling for an independent, international investigation into 9/11, which was overwhelmingly passed by the full assembly at the final gathering of attendees.

• coordinated an August gathering of coalition groups in NYC, which included representatives of several of the NYC 9/11 truth groups and non-9/11-specific organizations, and participated in a similar gathering in Philadelphia in July.

• assisted and supported local groups across the nation in working together with other local/regional activist groups to introduce and promote 9/11 truth information and joint actions and campaigns.

• attended and presented a 9/11 truth informational proposal (rejected) to the United for Peace & Justice national meeting in 2006.

911truth.org Working Groups Initiative
We attempted to create specific-focus Working Groups during 2007-8, and brought together interested people in many of these areas at different periods during the year. We continue to welcome responses to this call:

Legal--Research, Representation, Networking - We would like to improve our effectiveness in pursuing legal redress by developing ongoing relationships with people in the legal field.

Research & Investigative Journalism / 9/11 Newswire - We receive lots of editorial submissions. But we need investigative research pieces focusing on specific aspects of the 9/11 crimes and consequences, and analytical articles to help readers make sense of the information.

Public Relations/Marketing - Much help still needed here! How can you can plug in here...?

Campus Outreach - We found that college groups come and go... Conference calls among campus groups were being held regularly, until students changed schools or graduated! We will, of course, continue helping as much as we can to support growing groups of student activists.

Resource Development - Materials continue to be created and coordinated, and added to the Downloads page. If you have resources to share, or graphics/ creative skills, please contact us.

Fundraising - Clearly, we still need MUCH help in this area! Many of the projects we most want to undertake require funding. For instance, we desperately need, right now, to set up project-management/database software to effectively plug in the hundreds of volunteers we're hearing from. Even with extremely frugal budgeting, we need more funds to run this organization and achieve our goals -- the ultimate goal, of course, is that soon there will no longer be a need for the organization! [Update: Given the worsening state of the economy, WE NEED HELP FINDING A PROFESSIONAL FUNDRAISER ASAP!! Ideas?

International Outreach and Networking - International groups grew by leaps and bounds in 2007, and 911truth.org has many of these listed on our Grassroots and Links pages. If you have 9/11 truth related materials in a language other than English, please let us know, so we can add them to the Downloads page (fliers/handouts), Articles, and Video/Audio sections.

2006 highlights ...

• Major 9/11 truth event in Chicago: 9/11: Revealing the Truth, Reclaiming Our Future: An International Education and Strategy Conference, June 2-4, 2006, which featured five keynote speakers and over 40 workshop leaders, and included both education and strategy tracks. Out of this event have come a host of new ideas and relationships. Many of these workshops are being edited and made available in as many formats as possible. • The Grassroots Contacts list grew steadily, listing contacts in over 35 states and five other countries at the end of the year.
• Worked to make flyers and other educational materials more readily accessible, and added many to the website.
• We commissioned Zogby International to conduct a nationwide poll, similar to the Zogby poll we coordinated in July 2004. Results can be viewed at: "Zogby Poll Finds Over 70 Million Voting Age Americans Support New 9/11 Investigation"
• Continued to make new materials available at our online 911Truth store.


• Politics911 was launched 7/22/06, the anniversary of the 9/11 cOmmission Report, to put 2006 candidates for federal office on the record re. their views on the need for a new and authentic 9/11 investigation. This offered activists significant information as they determined how best to support political candidates this fall.
