New York friends of 9/11 truth and justice are calling for an unusual "demonstration of gratitude" at the studios of CNN this Wednesday at Noon (Time-Warner Center, Columbus Circle). Last week the network saw fit to air long segments giving fair coverage to Charlie Sheen's comments about September 11th. On three nights running, CNN's "Showbiz Tonight" became the first corporate US mass-broadcast news program to actually allow 9/11 skeptics - including Alex Jones and 911Truth.org spokesperson Mike Berger - to speak for themselves in a balanced debate. While one could lament that this took four and a half years, the action Wednesday is a chance to encourage CNN to go further, and to actually start covering the facts that make millions of people doubt the official story. It is also a chance to inform everyone at the Time-Warner Center about the issues. The coming weeks bring unprecedented opportunities for waking people up to the news they may have missed, and breaking open the 9/11 cover-up. New York, NY (October 28, 2004) - Today a group of 9/11 victim family representatives, survivors and first responders files an updated 35-page Complaint and Petition with New York State Attorney General Eliot Spitzer. Chief Investigator William Casey accepted the original Complaint/Petition from the Complainants on October 28th. In a call for truth and accountability, the Complaint demands that the AG open a criminal inquiry and/or grand jury investigation into the many still unsolved crimes of September 11, 2001 over which his office has jurisdiction. Co-complainant Bob McIlvaine, who lost his son in the attacks, said this is now absolutely necessary so that "justice is finally done." The group which operates under a "Justice for 9/11" banner is posting the Complaint online at www.Justicefor911.org where those who wish to express their support can sign an electronic petition.

9/11 Truth in Politics

Milwaukee, WI: Populist Texan lawyer, David Cobb, won a stunning second round victory over Ralph Nader's forces to take the Green Party's 2004 presidential nomination last Saturday. In another remarkable break with and for political commonsense, Cobb became the first US candidate for high public office to ever publicly call for 9/11 truth.

The move reflects increasing party concern with the corporate coup, media censorship, and the suspect convenience of 9/11 to justify long planned attacks on oil-rich lands, the environment and the Constitution. The convention crowd of over 800 delegates loudly cheered Cobb's fiery acceptance speech as he condemned Washington's bipartisan full spectrum dishonesty on these issues and backed a Green push for full spectrum disclosure:

"One of the things that the Greens are doing is creating a space and a political party for us to tell the truth! We must tell the truth. We must tell the truth about the ecological catastrophe that is looming. We must tell the truth about a racist and sexist and classist country and world. And we must force our elected representatives to tell the truth about whatever happened on September 11th, 2001!"

Green 9/11 activists were particularly evident in the delegations from California, Florida, Maine and of course New York. Indeed earlier in the day when the New York delegation got the traditional 60 seconds of mike time before announcing its vote count, instead of using this spotlight to tout the state's glories, it made a lengthy impassioned call for solidarity with the 9/11 victim families still seeking justice and accountability.

Although Cobb's demand was unprecedented for a presidential candidate, this was not the Greens' first call to 9/11 arms. As early as April 28th, the Green Party had broadcast a press release denouncing the current 9/11 Commission as "deeply flawed" and calling for an entirely new inquiry led by the victim families. During the convention, New Yorkers, Mitch Cohen and Mark Dunlea, who had both written widely on the cover-up, encouraged fellow delegates to focus more on official 9/11 lies as the great enabler of the neocon war machine. California congressional candidate and constitutional law scholar, Ray Glock-Grueneich even offered to help draft impeachment articles based on the current abundance of prima facie 9/11 evidence now in the public domain.

Vice-presidential nominee Pat Lamarche also announced both full support for the 9/11 initiative and coming plans to interview victim family representatives on her popular radio show in Augusta, Maine. (Unfortunately Lamarche's station is part of the huge Citadel Communications chain, which is also a big military-industrial player, and her bosses responded to her new engagements by firing her the day she returned.)

Cobb and Lamarche's campaign is expected to highlight the scores of still unanswered 9/11 questions and play a major role in the summer media debates after the 9/11 Commission's final report is released.

NEW YORK CITY, NY (June 8, 2004) A new umbrella organization called 911Truth.org today announced the launch of a website to serve as a clearinghouse for the highest quality work of the emerging 911 truth movement. The site highlights the efforts of leading investigators, authors, videographers, and activists calling for a truly independent investigation of still unexplained facts.

According to David Kubiak, executive director of the organization, "The discoveries of independent 9/11 researchers, recent whistleblower testimony, and the demands of victim families have now reached the point where a coordinated approach is necessary. 911Truth.org will introduce the most important news on all these fronts as well as empower activism. Given just the currently known facts, we feel that exposing the full truth of 9/11 before the next election is an urgent and truly patriotic necessity."

After many months of pressure from victim family groups, the Bush administration established the Kean Commission last year to investigate the events of 9/11. This body will conclude its inquiry on July 26. However, many concerned observers have noted that the Commission is deeply compromised by its members' political, financial, and personal ties with those they should be investigating. Kyle Hence, founder of 9/11 Citizens Watch and a member of the 911Truth.org board, said, "Through my work with 9/11 families, I have witnessed growing disillusionment with this investigation's direction, depth and sincerity. I believe it is now obvious that the Commission's findings will reveal little new information because it still refuses to address the hard questions the family groups have asked. Clearly the commissioners' personal or professional ties are affecting their willingness to challenge the glaring inconsistencies of the official story. The victims' families deserve far better, as do our people as a whole."

To address these shortcomings, the 9/11 truth movement has developed its own investigative bodies, including the March 26-28 "International Inquiry - Phase I" in San Francisco and the five-day "International Inquiry - Phase II" that just concluded in Toronto on May 30th. The need for these inquiries was underlined by a Canadian poll reported in the May 26th Toronto Star showing that 63 per cent of Canadians now believe the U.S. government had "prior knowledge of the plans for September 11th, and failed to take appropriate action." Such opinions are also publicly held by eminent government officials in Canada, Britain, Belgium, and Germany. Evidence for these views has been widely discussed for years in the foreign press.

Despite the lack of debate in the US media, prominent Americans like actor Ed Asner, author Howard Zinn, activist Kevin Danaher, former Assistant Secretary of Housing Catherine Austin Fitts, retired USAF Colonel Dr. Robert Bowman, and author Jim Hightower are now calling for an immediate re-examination of September 11 events, and the US Green Party has recently demanded a new independent investigation "with full participation of surviving family members." Several new documentaries and books are also fueling this truth movement, particularly "The New Pearl Harbor - Disturbing Questions about the Bush Administration and 9/11" by renowned theologian David Ray Griffin. Griffin was recently featured on Amy GoodmanÌs Democracy Now!, as was 9/11 widow Ellen Mariani who is suing top White House officials under the RICO (racketeering) Act for letting 9/11 happen for personal and political gain.
