Encouraging answers today from Pennsylvania Rep. Curt Weldon’s in a Town Hall Meeting when he’s asked questions by 9/11 activists, Dave Slesinger and Jon Gold. Interesting perspective on Weldon’s passion about our firefighters, especially, and why he’s continuing to push for answers.
Weldon states he’s “willing to challenge the system… I hate to say that sometimes I don’t trust my government, but sometimes I don’t trust the government.” “Do I automatically accept what the government tells me? No.”
Audio file provided thanks to Gold’s 9/11 forum:
The questions were read by the same person on 3×5 cards.
Dave Slesinger: First, I want to praise you for your Able Danger efforts. Since you are the Congressman most sympathetic to firefighters, have you looked at the quotes from NYC firefighters at the World Trade Center on 9/11 about explosives. If you have, will you accept information on for later comment.
Rep. Weldon: I will absolutely accept information, and I’m very close to the NYC firefighters because one of my best friends was killed there. You see I go on all of the disasters because of my leadership on fire and (inaudible) issues, I’ve been to all of them. Hurricane Andrew, Hugo, I was in Katrina two days after it happened, in fact, I raised $440,000 from private companies in our region to help the fire departments down there which we gave them about a month ago in Upper Darby. Uh, I was at the World Trade… Continue reading

Judicial Watch Files Lawsuit Against Defense Department for Withholding Video of 9/11 Attack on Pentagon
DOD has “no legal basis” to refuse release of videotape
(Washington, DC) Judicial Watch, the public interest group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption, announced today that it filed a lawsuit on February 22, 2006 against the Department of Defense to force the release of a video that allegedly shows United Flight 77 striking the Pentagon on September 11, 2001. Judicial Watch seeks the information in part to help put to rest conspiracy theories that a government drone or missile hit the Pentagon rather than the hijacked United airplane.
Judicial Watch originally filed a Freedom of Information Act request on December 15, 2004, seeking all records pertaining to camera recordings from the Sheraton National Hotel, the Nexcomm/Citgo gas station, Pentagon security cameras and the Virginia Department of Transportation. The Department of Defense admitted in a January 26, 2005 letter that it possessed a videotape responsive to Judicial Watch’s request. However, the Pentagon advised that the video is exempt from release because it is, “part of an ongoing investigation involving Zacarias Moussaoui.”
Judicial Watch argues in its lawsuit that “there is no legal basis” for the DOD’s refusal to release the videotape. First, while the Freedom of Information Act does allow an exemption for ongoing law enforcement investigations, the Defense Department does not have law enforcement authority over Moussaoui. That belongs to the Department… Continue reading
In America of the 1980s and ’90s, it was extremists on the far-right fringes who believed the country was moving toward “black helicopter” authoritarian rule in Washington, and often blamed big-government liberal Democrats. Now, as a result of just four-plus years of the Bush administration (supposedly anti-big government, conservative Republicans), huge segments of American society, including many in the mainstream middle, wonder what has happened to our democratic republic, our civil liberties, our time-honored system of government.
The Enabling Mantra of 9/11
The Busheviks defend the administration’s harsh, sweeping actions as necessary in a “time of war.” The U.S. was attacked by forces representing fanatical Islam, this reasoning goes, and the old rules and systems simply don’t apply anymore — they are old-fashioned, “quaint.” Instead, we are expected to inculcate the “everything-changed-on-9/11″ mantra, the effect of which is to excuse and justify all. Defense of the fatherland comes first and foremost, trumping all other considerations, including the Constitution, checks-and-balances in the three branches of government, separation of powers, the Geneva Conventions, international law, etc. etc. (The Busheviks refuse to believe that one can be muscular in going after terrorists and do so within the law and with proper respect for the Bill of Rights and Constitutional protections of due process.)
Not only do the Busheviks pay no attention to modern history, but they seem to have forgotten how our very nation came into existence and why: Our Founding Fathers rebelled against a despotic British monarch, a George who ran roughshod… Continue reading

WOODSIDE, NY (MiningStocks.com) — Some very rapid changes are taking place that threaten the world order as we know it. In addition to Congressman Paul’s speech and discussion of our budget deficits, several headlines caught my attention this past week that illustrate these changes.
For example, we see China Daily reported on Friday that China is seeking to quickly finalize a $100 billion energy deal with Iran before the U.S./U.N. puts sanctions on that country, allegedly related to its uranium enrichment activities.
Then we learn that the Indian central bank was a big buyer of gold this past week.
Meanwhile, Germany, which used to be one of the big gold selling countries during the heydays of gold manipulators up until about 2002, is saying no more central bank gold sales, and apparently Deutsche Bank doesn’t like that much. If you wonder why that would be, all you have to do is go back and read some of what the Gold Anti Trust Action Committee has been saying about Deutsche Bank’s activities as one of the anti-gold bullion banks who were defendants in Reginald Howe’s anti-gold manipulation lawsuit. Deutsche Bank rather likes the fascist economic policy of government bailing out big corporations, at least when it is the big corporation.
There has been rumor after rumor of central banks now buying gold. Remember when Argentina flipped the U.S. and the U.K. and their owned and manipulated institutions, the World… Continue reading
Yesterday, Tavis Smiley organized the 7th annual “State Of The Black Union” which featured different speakers from the black community, including such noteables as Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, Reverand Al Sharpton, and Reverand Louis Farrakhan.
Mr. Belafonte asks us to redefine “Terror”. For us to stop looking at “Terror” as how they see it, and to start looking at “Terror” as we see it.

A controversial counter-terrorism program, which lawmakers halted more than two years ago amid outcries from privacy advocates, was stopped in name only and has quietly continued within the intelligence agency now fending off charges that it has violated the privacy of U.S. citizens.
It is no secret that some parts of TIA lived on behind the veil of the classified intelligence budget.
Research under the Defense Department’s Total Information Awareness program — which developed technologies to predict terrorist attacks by mining government databases and the personal records of people in the United States — was moved from the Pentagon’s research-and-development agency to another group, which builds technologies primarily for the National Security Agency, according to documents obtained by National Journal and to intelligence sources familiar with the move. The names of key projects were changed, apparently to conceal their identities, but their funding remained intact, often under the same contracts.
It is no secret that some parts of TIA lived on behind the veil of the classified intelligence budget. However, the projects that moved, their new code names, and the agencies that took them over haven’t previously been disclosed. Sources aware of the transfers declined to speak on the record for this story because, they said, the identities of the specific programs are classified.
Two of the most important components of the TIA program were moved to the Advanced Research and Development Activity, housed at NSA headquarters in Fort… Continue reading

Do you remember when Cindy Sheehan was dragged out of the State of The Union Address? Supposedly, it was because of a t-shirt that listed the amount of dead soldiers in Bush’s “War On Terror”. The real reason probably had to do with the fact that Cindy Sheehan isn’t one of President Bush’s favorite people. Of course, to make it not seem as bad as it was, they also asked Rep. Bill Young’s wife to leave for having a Pro-Bush shirt on that said, “Support The Troops Defending Our Freedom.”
Sad, don’t you think? In a country that promotes “Freedom Of Speech”, to see a woman who lost her son in the Iraq War, being dragged out of the Capitol of all places. Because of a t-shirt no less. It’s enough to make you cry.
The press was more than happy to cover Sheehan’s experience. What they neglected to tell you, however, was that a man the 9/11 families tried to sue for involvement in the 9/11 attacks, also attended the State Of The Union Address. Al-Faisal.
Al-Faisal, the former head of Saudi Intelligence (who stepped down 10 days before the attacks), was named in a $1 Trillion lawsuit brought forth by 600 family members. They accused him of funding bin Laden’s network. The lawsuit was dismissed because a judge decided the U.S. courts lacked jurisdiction over the matter.
I would have rather seen him dragged out the capitol instead of Cindy Sheehan, wouldn’t you?

A Half-Dozen Questions About 9/11 They Don’t Want You to Ask
The events of September 11, 2001 evoke painful memories, tinged with a powerful nostalgia for the way of life before it happened. The immediate tragedy caused a disorientation sufficient to distort the critical faculties in the direction of retrospectively predictable responses: bureaucratic adaptation, opportunism, profiteering, kitsch sentiment, and mindless sloganeering.
As 9/11, and the report of the commission charged to investigate it, fade into history like the Warren Commission that preceded it, the questions, gaps, and anomalies raised by the report have created an entire cottage industry of amateur speculation–as did the omissions and distortions of the Warren Report four decades ago. How could it not?
While initially received as definitive by a rapturous official press, the 9/11 Report has been overtaken by reality, not only because of unsatisfying content–like all “independent” government reports, it is fundamentally an apology and a coverup masquerading as an exposé–but because we now know more: more about the feckless invasion of Iraq, more about the occupation of Afghanistan and the purported hunt for Osama bin Laden, more about the post-9/11 stampede to repeal elements of the Bill of Rights, more about the rush to create the Department of Homeland Security, an agency to “prevent another 9/11,” which, in retrospect, is plainly about cronyism, contracts, and Congressional boodle.
Many of the amateur sleuths of the 9/11 mystery have based their investigations on microscopic forensics regarding the publicly released video footage, or speculations into the physics of impacting aircraft or collapsing buildings.…
A hundred years ago it was called “dollar diplomacy.” After World War II, and especially after the fall of the Soviet Union in 1989, that policy evolved into “dollar hegemony.” But after all these many years of great success, our dollar dominance is coming to an end.
It has been said, rightly, that he who holds the gold makes the rules. In earlier times it was readily accepted that fair and honest trade required an exchange for something of real value.
First it was simply barter of goods. Then it was discovered that gold held a universal attraction, and was a convenient substitute for more cumbersome barter transactions. Not only did gold facilitate exchange of goods and services, it served as a store of value for those who wanted to save for a rainy day.
Though money developed naturally in the marketplace, as governments grew in power they assumed monopoly control over money. Sometimes governments succeeded in guaranteeing the quality and purity of gold, but in time governments learned to outspend their revenues. New or higher taxes always incurred the disapproval of the people, so it wasn’t long before Kings and Caesars learned how to inflate their currencies by reducing the amount of gold in each coin– always hoping their subjects wouldn’t discover the fraud. But the people always did, and they strenuously objected.
This helped pressure leaders to seek more gold by conquering other nations. The people became accustomed to living beyond their means, and enjoyed the circuses and… Continue reading

Cynthia McKinney, the only House Representative to stand up to the Bush White House crime syndicate, has gone further than ever before in her efforts to warn people about what the Neo-Cons’ ultimate goals actually entail for freedom in America.
During a recent radio interview on the Alex Jones Show, McKinney illustrated the nature of a corrupt occupational government, stating that the administration was “stolen in 2000 and stolen again in 2004.” McKinney said that it was doing the government a favor to describe them as a “criminal syndicate.”
“It appears to me that our country is literally being hollowed out….our economy is being hollowed out,” said McKinney.
McKinney shared Alex Jones’ fears and those previously voiced by Republican Congressman Ron Paul, that Americans may be arrested and taken to forced labor camps in light of recent developments confirming Kellogg Brown and Root have secured a government contract to build the camps.
Regarding 9/11, McKinney lent credibility to the 9/11 truth scholars who recently came forth with empirical evidence proving that the official story is a fallacy.
“It’s clear that something was terribly amiss on that day with our people who were in charge….they didn’t even follow standard operating procedure,” said McKinney and the Congresswoman agreed that US authorities stood down on 9/11.
Covering the subject of worldwide human trafficking and sex slavery, a practice embraced by Dyncorp and lobbied for by Halliburton subsidiary representatives, McKinney responded… Continue reading

Cynthia McKinney (D-GA) found her front yard “toilet papered” with VCR tape Sunday when she returned from promoting her new documentary ‘American Blackout’ at the Sundance Film Festival. “Obviously, someone wants to send a message that they know where I live and can have access to my front yard to do unkind things,” she said. The crime was reported to local police.
Her film ‘American Blackout’ chronicles voting irregularities and supposed disenfranchisement of some African Americans from 2000-2004. McKinney hopes “everyone who cares about our country” will see it. The Congresswoman has been a heavy critic of the Bush Administration and lead a national investigation into the 2000 presidential election irregularities.
Cynthia McKinney also initiated a bill in the House of Representatives last November that calls for the creation of a records collection at the National Archives pertaining to the unsolved killing of emcee Tupac Shakur. HR 4210 calls for “a second repository at the Tupac Amaru Shakur Center for the Arts in Stone Mountain, Georgia” as well. The center opened Jun. 11, 2005.

“Given the scope of the tragedy from last week, I am glad to reassure the people of New York and Washington, D.C., that their air is safe to breathe and their water is safe to drink.” – Christie Todd Whitman
Christie Whitman, former EPA Director, insists that tons of debris filled with toxins spewed into the air during the attacks posed no health threat. The thousands of rescue workers and residents who are suffering from all kinds of health problems including “the 9/11 cough” are all coincidental. For anyone who finds it difficult to believe our government could be complicit in the deaths of nearly 3,000 people, analyze this obvious lie to cover up a crime of government fraud and malfeasance committed against hundreds of thousands of people who live and work in lower Manhattan. – Ed.

Christie Whitman, the former administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency, yesterday rejected as “completely inaccurate” a federal judge’s ruling that found she had misled people near the World Trade Center site about the risks of air contamination after the Sept. 11 attack.
In a statement, Mrs. Whitman disputed the ruling on Thursday by Judge Deborah A. Batts of Federal District Court in Manhattan. Judge Batts decided not to dismiss a class-action suit against Mrs. Whitman and the E.P.A. on behalf of residents and schoolchildren from the area near ground zero, finding that Mrs. Whitman had falsely reassured them in the days after… Continue reading

George W. Bush
While Cindy Sheehan was being dragged from the House gallery moments before President Bush delivered his State of the Union address for wearing a t-shirt honoring her son and the other 2,244 US soldiers killed in Iraq, Turki al-Faisal was settling into his seat inside the gallery. Faisal, a Saudi, is a man who has met Osama bin Laden and his lieutenants on at least five occasions, describing the al Qaeda leader as “quite a pleasant man.” He met multiple times with Taliban leader Mullah Mohammed Omar.
Yet, unlike Sheehan, al-Faisal was a welcomed guest of President Bush on Tuesday night. He is also a man that the families of more than 600 victims of the 9/11 attacks believe was connected to their loved ones’ deaths.
Al-Faisal is actually Prince Turki al-Faisal, a leading member of the Saudi royal family and the kingdom’s current ambassador to the US. But the bulk of his career was spent at the helm of the feared Saudi intelligence services from 1977 to 2001. Last year, The New York Times pointed out that “he personally managed Riyadh’s relations with Osama bin Laden and Mullah Muhammad Omar of the Taliban. Anyone else who had dealings with even a fraction of the notorious characters the prince has worked with over the years would never make it past a U.S. immigration counter, let… Continue reading
They include Robert M. Bowman, former director of the U.S. “Star Wars” space defense program, and Morgan Reynolds, former chief economist for the Department of Labor in President George W. Bush’s first term. Most of the members are less well-known.
The group’s Web site (www.ST911.org) includes an updated version of Jones’s paper about the collapse of the Twin Towers and a paper by Fetzer that looks at conspiracy theories. The government’s version of the events of 9/11, that the plane’s hijackers were tied to Osama bin Laden, is its own conspiracy theory, says Fetzer, who has studied the John F. Kennedy assassination since 1992.
“Did the Bush administration know in advance about the impending attacks that occurred on 9/11, and allow these to happen, to provoke pre-planned wars against Afghanistan and Iraq? These questions demand immediate answers,” charges a paper written collectively by Scholars for 9/11 Truth. The group plans to write more papers, and present lectures and conferences.
“We have very limited resources and no subpoena powers,” Fetzer said. “What you have is a bunch of serious scholars taking a look at this and discovering it didn’t add up. We don’t have a political ax to grind.”
Fetzer has doctorates in the history and philosophy of science. “One of the roles I can play here,” he said, “is to explain why a certain line of argument is correct or not.”
In his original message to potential members last month, Fetzer warned that joining the group might make them the… Continue reading
WASHINGTON (AP) ? A federal judge has ordered the government to give admitted terrorist conspirator Zacarias Moussaoui’s defense team documents describing what officials knew before Sept. 11, 2001, about al-Qaeda threats and some of its hijackers.
With a trial to determine Moussaoui’s sentence set to begin next month, U.S. District Judge Leonie Brinkema granted part of a Jan. 20 defense motion for documents without waiting for the government’s response.
“Several of the categories of information are so critical to the issues in this case that the court can address some of the requests without a response,” Brinkema wrote. “Moreover, given the increasingly shortening time before the start of the trial, discovery issues must be resolved quickly.”
Granted Tuesday under seal, her order was released Wednesday after government censors blacked out about five lines of it.
She ordered the government to immediately turn over any threat assessments, especially those completed in the year before the Sept. 11 attacks.
Defense attorneys also will get all reports, cables, slides, talking points, memos and other documents about Moussaoui’s arrest a month before the attacks and about two Sept. 11 hijackers, Khalid al-Mihdahar and Nawaf al-Hazmi, whose presence in the United States was known to federal officials before the attacks.
That data clearly was sought by the defense for use in the first part of the upcoming court proceeding, in which prosecutors will try to convince jurors that the FBI would have prevented the Sept. 11 attacks if Moussaoui had told federal agents what he… Continue reading
“I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands: one Nation under God, indivisible, With Liberty and Justice for all.”
Do you remember what it was like to be a kid, and having to say those words? For me, it always seemed like a chore. Having to get up every morning, put your hand over your heart, and say the Pledge. A kid has better things to do with their time, don’t they?
That being said, there were times when I felt proud to say those words.
For instance, do you remember when the United States’ hockey team beat the Soviets in Lake Placid during the 1980 Olympics? WOW. I was only 8 years old when that happened, but I watched A LOT of TV as a kid, so I remember the coverage from Philadelphia’s Action News. I remember saying the pledge in 2nd grade, after my teacher reiterated what I had seen the night before, and thinking how proud I was to be an American. It didn’t bother me to say the pledge that day.
That was then, and here we are today.
If you follow the news, you’ll see that the United States is currently involved in two wars. One in Iraq, and one in Afghanistan. Both American soldiers, and civilians from that region are being killed. 1000’s of people on both sides are being wounded,… Continue reading

Caught in gratuitous and illegal spying on American citizens, the Bush administration has defended its illegal activity and set the Justice (sic) Department on the trail of the person or persons who informed the New York Times of Bush?s violation of law. Note the astounding paradox: The Bush administration is caught red-handed in blatant illegality and responds by trying to arrest the patriot who exposed the administration?s illegal behavior.
Bush has actually declared it treasonous to reveal his illegal behavior! His propagandists, who masquerade as news organizations, have taken up the line: To reveal wrong-doing by the Bush administration is to give aid and comfort to the enemy.
Compared to Spygate, Watergate was a kindergarden picnic. The Bush administration?s lies, felonies, and illegalities have revealed it to be a criminal administration with a police state mentality and police state methods. Now Bush and his attorney general have gone the final step and declared Bush to be above the law. Bush aggressively mimics Hitler?s claim that defense of the realm entitles him to ignore the rule of law.
Bush?s acts of illegal domestic spying are gratuitous because there are no valid reasons for Bush to illegally spy. The Foreign Intelligence Services Act (FISA) gives Bush all the power he needs to spy on terrorist suspects. All the administration is required to do is to apply to a secret FISA court for warrants. The Act permits the administration to spy first and then apply for… Continue reading
