Re: Spitzer Complaint, Ryan & 911Truth.org news
Dear Readers of 911Truth.org,
What can you do? News on “Justice for 9/11,” the Omissions Hearings, the Kevin Ryan story, and developments at 911Truth.org:
Justice for 9/11
Last week the “Justice for 9/11″ Coalition filed a restated and amended Citizen’s Complaint and Petition with the Attorney General of New York State, Eliot Spitzer, citing probable cause to convene a grand jury on unsolved crimes surrounding the events of September 11, 2001. (See press release. )
The Citizens’ Complaint and Petition is unprecedented. Unlike a few other states, New York law does not provide a formal procedure for it. We are trying to invent a new legal wheel, and we need your help.
Nine highly regarded complainants from among September 11 family members, first responders and New York citizens have signed on, and many others are carefully considering whether to join them.
We are inviting friendly support statements from other groups, in the style of amicus briefs, and looking for new coalition members. And we ask everyone to please sign the electronic Petition of Solidarity at the “Justice” site, and get your friends on board!
This work is by no means finished, despite the weeks of hard work by a team advised by legal counsel Carolyn Betts. We aren’t pretending that we’ve covered every aspect of possible 9/11 crimes in the present version of the Complaint and Petition. As we’ve told Spitzer’s office, this is a living document, of, for and by citizens, and… Continue reading
A Call for Unity in the 9/11 Truth Community
By: John J. Albanese
Stand with me. Today’s editorial is a shameless plea for unity and support. Time is short. Today’s headlines relentlessly warn us of a pending nuclear crisis, and the deafening drumbeats of war, and the inevitable clash of civilizations that threatens to devour us whole. Never mind that the rhetoric swirling around the Iran crisis mimics the rhetoric that swirled around the debacle in Iraq. Never mind that the facts are being skewed once again. American foreign policy appears to be executing a full-court press to conflict and oblivion.
And at the bottom of this rubble-heap of American foreign policy lies the all but forgotten truth and hidden history behind the worst terrorist attacks in American history.
“We will never forget,” we all vowed after 9/11. And we meant it. But sadly, 4 ? years after the fact, 9/11 has already become commercialized, dramatized and fictionalized by such Hollywood confections as Universal Studio’s “United 93″ and Oliver Stone’s “World Trade Center.” And while we can debate endlessly the degree of historical accuracy of these films, Hollywood has, for all intents and purposes, turned the tragedy of 9/11 into entertainment for the masses, and has tread upon our sacred vows.
But there are those among us who know that something is seriously wrong. From the start, there are those among us who were not satisfied to simply put their trust in the ‘official story.’ There are those among… Continue reading
Jenna Orkin, of WTC Environmental Organization www.wtceo.org, describes the envirotoxic disaster of 9/11, horrendous health effects on residents and rescuers, and lies of the administration that led to the situation.
“Jenna…details how the Bush administration Environmental Protection Agency told the public that the air in Lower Manhattan after the attacks of 9/11 was safe to breathe even while knowing is was not. This raises the question: if the Bush administration was willing to sacrifice the health and the lives of United States citizens, what else would they be willing to do?”
A CALL TO ACTION – EMERGENCY MEETING
“First they came for the terrorists but I wasn’t a terrorist so I stayed silent and went about my business. Then they came for those suspected of terrorism, but I certainly wasn’t a suspect so I stayed silent and went about my business. Then they came for those who defended those who were suspected of terrorism, but I wasn’t defending such people so I stayed silent and went about my business. Then, one day, they came and began to “suspect” me, so I stayed very, very silent and went about my business.
And that is how I lost my soul.”
You can feel it in the air: many of us are living in the fear that we are one “bad event” away from this administration seizing power over the people in such a way that we will find ourselves swept up in a nightmare of tyranny such as we’ve never seen before.
Others before us have also lived in such times. Others before us have also witnessed the tyranny of empire, the fear it unleashes, and the trance it imposes on its population. There is a story in the Gospel of Mark (this Sunday I’ll be preaching about it) that has Jesus encountering a man in a graveyard, chained to the tombs and possessed by a powerful demon that has caused the man to become violent, insane, and out of control. The name of the demon is Legion, a military term that… Continue reading

More than five years after war began in Iraq, veterans speak out against the
Being a good soldier means following the orders given by higher ranking officers,
out of a sense of duty and loyalty to protect his country.
But what happens when a soldier feels his commanding officers, even the Commander
in Chief, has betrayed and abandoned the Constitution?
Tony Teolis of Fairfax wrestled with that question for years before joining
Veterans for Peace, one of many organizations that help veterans find the courage
and the voice to speak out against the current occupation of Iraq.
“As veterans, we believe in the Constitution as the law of the land, and
we took an oath to preserve, protect and defend it,” Teolis said. It is
the same oath congressmen, senators and the president also take when they step
into office, and Teolis and other like-minded veterans believe those elected
officials have abandoned the Constitution by going into Iraq under false pretenses.
“A declaration of war without a direct order from Congress, combined
with the abuse of human rights, the abuse and threat of invasion to other nations
are all signs that Congress and the president are not fulfilling their duties,”
A VETERAN of the first Gulf War in the early 1990s, Teolis spent several years
in Japan following his combat duty. With a long family history of military service,
he was proud to serve his country and for the work he had done in helping to
liberate Kuwait from Iraqi control.…
On your mark, get set, don’t go! The starting gun on the “holiday shopping season” goes off at midnight Thanksgiving night. To perk up slagging sales, major retailers are opening their doors early to make the “biggest shopping day of the year” the longest, as well. As the Seattle PI reports, about 133 million people will shop this weekend in the U.S. The retailer’s strategy is to mark down the merchandise as much as possible to move their inventory.
Adbusters and others have anointed Friday as an unofficial holiday for people who are trying to fend off the allure of more and more stuff (and, possibly, bring more “meaning” to the holiday season.) Buy Nothing Day has been “celebrated” since 1992. According to Wikipedia, Adbusters states:
It isn’t just about changing your habits for one day” but “about starting a lasting lifestyle commitment to consuming less and producing less waste.
Things to do on Friday instead of shopping ’til you drop:
– Nurse your Thanksgiving hangover by napping and thinking about the things you said you were thankful for yesterday: did your list include a cheap plastic toys and designer shoes? As you design your holiday season, reflect on your “thanks” list. Maybe instead of presents, focus on embellishing the things that add value to your life. Did your list include “my family,” “my home,” “my health”? Make your holiday season about those things, and leave the stressful shopping behind. You’ll have a great jumpstart on next year’s… Continue reading
Title: “Transcript Of Japanese Parliament’s 911 Testimony”

Testimony in the Japanese parliament, broadcast live on Japanese television in January 2008, challenged the premise and validity of the Global War on Terror. Parliament member Yukihisa Fujita insisted that an investigation be conducted into the war’s origin: the events of 9/11.
In a parliament Defense and Foreign Affairs Committee session held to debate the ethics of renewing Japan’s “anti-terror law,” which commits Japan to providing logistical support for coalition forces operating in Afghanistan, Fujita opened the session by stating, “I would like to talk about the origin of this war on terrorism, which was the attacks of 9/11, . . . When discussing these anti-terror laws we should ask ourselves, what was 9/11? And what is terrorism?”
Fujita pointed out that, “So far the only thing the government has said is that we think it was caused by al-Qaeda because President Bush told us so.
We have not seen any real proof that it was al-Qaeda.” He reminded parliament that twenty-four Japanese citizens were killed on 9/11, yet the mandate of a
criminal investigation by the Japanese government never followed. “This is a crime so surely an investigation needs to be carried out,” said Fujita
(Censored 2008, #16).
Fujita went on extensively to ask “about the suspicious information being uncovered and the doubts people worldwide are having about… Continue reading

In Mansfield, CT, the town where I grew up, there were no police. Oh, there was a resident State Police officer with a big cruiser, but mainly, his job was patrolling the stretch of four-lane highway that ran north of us between Hartford and Boston. The University of Connecticut, a sprawling ag school at the time, had a few police, but their job was limited to patrolling the campus. If something happened, like a kid stealing candy from Phil’s, the local Five and Ten, or if there was some kind of domestic dispute, it fell to the local town constable—an elected position—to handle.
Up in the town of Marlboro, VT, population 1000, the town constable may have a new job. If President George W. Bush, or Vice President Dick Cheney should happen to stop by there, perhaps to pick up some freshly made maple syrup or maple sugar candy, he’d have to arrest them. Last night, the citizens of Marlboro voted in their annual town meeting to indict both men for war crimes, obstruction of justice and perjury. The vote was 43-25, with three abstentions.
Residents of nearby Brattleboro, population 12,000, did the same, voting 2012-1795.
It might be a challenge for the local constabulary, given the gaggle of stone-faced, ear-wired, Secret Service agents in their dark sunshades who encircle and protect the president and his regent whenever the two suspects travel out of the secure confines of the White House and Executive Office… Continue reading

This week, on March 13-16, a new generation of “Winter Soldiers” — veterans of the conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq — will descend on the nation’s capitol to tell America in their own words what they saw during their service in the “war on terror,” the Bush administration’s signature policy. They’ll give a ground’s eye perspective on the occupation’s toll on the people of those countries and the costs to the military, and they’ll tell stories of what it was really like in places like Fallujah and Ramadi — places that are just names on a map to most of the people back home.
They’ll be following large footsteps. In the early months of 1971, a group of Vietnam vets, organized by Vietnam Veterans Against the War (VVAW), gave two days of testimony about the Vietnam that they had seen, up close and all-too-personally, in the original “Winter Soldier” investigation. While largely dismissed by the political establishment, their wrenching testimony redoubled the peace movement’s efforts to end that war.
In his opening statement 37 years ago, William Crandell, a 26 year-old lieutenant who served in the 199th Light Infantry Brigade, Americal Division — the division that committed the infamous My Lai Massacre — told the hushed room, “The Winter Soldier Investigation is not a mock trial. There will be no phony indictments; there will be no verdict against Uncle Sam.” He promised “straightforward testimony — direct testimony — about acts which are war… Continue reading

The call of duty has brought them together again, for one more vital mission.
Their hair is a little longer, their faces are a little scruffier and their military garbs are a little more disheveled.
But when the signal is given shortly before 10 a.m. today at the Constitution Center, 20 members of the Philadelphia chapter of Iraq Veterans Against the War will march once more.
They’ll trek along Kelly Drive, past the Art Museum and Boathouse Row, across the Strawberry Mansion Bridge and continue out west until they meet about 90 other veterans at Valley Forge on Sunday afternoon.
Along the way, they hope to dispel a few myths about the Iraq war and give regular people an idea of the grim reality that their fellow soldiers still face overseas.
“We wanted to do something in solidarity that could send a message to the American people,” said Steve Mortillo, the president of the Philadelphia chapter of IVAW, who served in Iraq with the U.S. Calvary 1st Squadron Infantry Division.
“It’s been five years since the war started, and a lot of us have feelings that Americans only should die in combat if it’s a cause that’s going to save more American lives than it’s going to cost.”
Today’s march also will promote IVAW’s Winter Soldier: Iraq and Afghanistan, a three-day gathering for veterans of both wars that will take place next month in Washington, D.C.
The organization boasts… Continue reading
By Courage to Resist
August 7, 2008
Last month 25-year-old U.S. Army PFC Robin Long became the first war resister since the Vietnam War to be forcefully deported from Canadian soil and handed over to military authorities. Robin is currently being held in the El Paso County Jail, near Colorado Springs, Colorado, awaiting a military court martial for resisting the unjust and illegal war against and occupation of Iraq. Robin will be court martialed for desertion “with intent to remain away permanently” — Article 85 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice — in early September. The maximum allowable penalty for a guilty verdict on this charge is three years confinement, forfeiture of pay, and a dishonorable discharge from the Army.
In order to expedite Robin’s trial, it appears that his unit command, the Fourth Brigade Combat Team, Fourth Infantry Division is opting to not charge Robin with speech-related violations of military discipline; opting to try and convict Robin as fast as possible.
Robin went absent without leave (AWOL) from the Army in 2005, realizing that he had significant moral opposition to the war and the lies he had been told regarding the reason for invasion and occupation of Iraq. After being transferred to an Iraq bound combat unit, Robin went to Boise, Id. (his home town) where he stayed for several months, before traveling to Canada.
Robin recently talked to Courage to Resist about why he enlisted. “When the U.S. first attacked Iraq, I was told by my president that it was because of direct ties to Al-Qaida and weapons of mass destruction.” Robin explained that while he was uneasy about his personal role in fighting, the Iraq War seemed justified.…Continue reading

Veterans For Peace
On Saturday, November 15, at 8:00 am, at the National Archives Building on
Connecticut Ave., eight military veterans and a military mother climbed a 9-foot
retaining fence and occupied a ninety-foot high scaffolding to raise two 450
square foot banners stating, “DEFEND OUR CONSTITUTION. ARREST BUSH AND
CHENEY: WAR CRIMINALS!” and “WE WILL NOT BE SILENT.” The same
message will also be displayed at demonstrations in the Los Angeles area on
Members of Veterans for Peace (VFP) chose the Archives for their nonviolent
protest because it is symbolic of their military oath to “defend the Constitution
of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic.” In September
they occupied the Archives for 24 hours, and plan to stay longer this time.
“The offenses of Bush, Cheney, and their accomplices are appalling,”
said Kim Carlyle, a VFP member and Army veteran. “Their misdeeds have killed
or maimed more than a million people – American soldiers, innocent civilian
children, women, and men. They have displaced almost five million people, with
millions seeking refuge in other countries. Their total disregard for international
agreements has severely tarnished the reputation of America in the world. Their
unlawful wars have squandered billions of dollars that could have bolstered
a troubled economy.”
The veterans are demanding Bush administration be tried for war crimes, crimes
against humanity, and crimes against peace; asking the media to clearly inform
the public of the administration’s crimes; and encouraging citizens to take
similar nonviolent actions.…
On October 27, 2008, WeAreChangeLA’s Jeremy Rothe-Kushel was on hand to cover an event with William Bratton, the Chief of the LAPD. Bratton was at a Townhall LA event at the Omni Hotel in Downtown LA to give a talk entitled “Crime and Your Bottom Line.” Although Bratton was there to focus on the future of the LAPD in relationship to development and crime-prevention, there was still a media buzz humming about an article Bratton had penned a week earlier with ‘terrorism expert’ R.P. Eddy in the NY Daily News. http://www.nydailynews.com/opinions/2008/10/21/2008-10-21_osama_bin_lade…
The article, entitled “Osama Bin Laden wants a vote, so beware a late October surprise,” warned that if “Bin Laden wants to engineer a late-October surprise in 2008, an attack on a significant American economic target may be one of the most tempting opportunities he has had in recent years.” In addition to asserting that “U.S. intelligence is worried” because a “2007 National Intelligence Estimate said that Al Qaeda has reconstituted and may again be capable of hitting the U.S. mainland,” the article also claimed that “Bin Laden may have already begun to weigh in on our coming elections,” because in September, “Al Qaeda launched an assault against the American Embassy in Yemen.”
Bratton, who had worked under Rudolph Giuliani at the helm of NYPD in the 90’s pursuing the “broken windows” policy, became LAPD Police Chief in 2002. He came to the LAPD directly out of a strong working relationship with Kroll Inc. (see: http://fluxrostrum.blogspot.com/2007/05/who-killed-john-oneil.html… Continue reading
In a stinging note of support for the laid off workers that have taken up residency in Chicago’s Republic Windows & Doors factory, the Governor of Illinois has suspended business with Bank of America until it reissues credit to the shuttered company.
Bank of America cut off credit to Republic Windows & Doors company last week, and workers, demanding severance pay, began staging sit-ins, effectively taking control of the building.
The governor’s bold move comes immediately after President-elect Obama, himself a Chicago native, expressed sympathy for and agreement with the worker’s plight and resulting actions.
“When it comes to the situation here in Chicago with the workers who are asking for their benefits and payments they have earned, I think they are absolutely right,” said Obama during a Sunday news conference. “What’s happening to them is reflective of what’s happening across this economy.”
Bank of America, Chicago’s second largest bank, has received over $15 billion in bailout funds from the federal government. During a Monday news conference, Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich insisted that the money was intended to be used for purposes such as this.
“We are reaching out to the management and ownership of the company to see what they can do to help resolve this issue,” said Bank of America in a prepared statement. “As a creditor of the company, we continue to honor all of our agreements with the company and have provided the maximum amount of funding we… Continue reading

911truth.org was contacted this week by Charles W. (Bill) White, of Houston, who provided extensive information to Russ Baker in the writing of his explosive new Bush dynasty historical expose, Family Secrets: The Bush Dynasty, the Powerful Forces That Put It in the White House, and What Their Influence Means for America. More about him is in his letter to Senator Levin, below, wherein he expresses grave concern for the safety of nearly 6,000 Sailors and Marines who will carry out their duties aboard the Navy’s new nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, the USS George H.W. Bush.
Today, that ship was christened in spite of White’s caution. An AP article, “Bush Visits Aircraft Carrier Named After Father,” describes the new ship and her christening thus:
It’s the perfect gift for an old Navy flier: 1,092 feet of flattop.
“What do you give a guy who has been blessed and has just about everything he has ever needed?” asked President George W. Bush from aboard the Navy’s newest ship. “Well, an aircraft carrier.”
The USS George H.W. Bush, a steel-gray vessel longer than three football fields and built at a cost of $6.2 billion … is one of the Nimitz class of nuclear-powered aircraft carriers, the largest warships in the world.
“The ship that bears our dad’s name is more than 95,000 tons of aluminum and steel,” Bush said from a podium tucked under the flight deck. “She will carry nearly 6,000… Continue reading
The Dallas 9/11 Truth Group gave out more than 4,000 newspaper-sized flyers ( http://www.911blogger.com/node/18142 ) and over 1600 DVDs during their marches in both Dallas MLK Parades.
There was the Dallas MLK Parade on Saturday, the 17th.
Monday, the 19th, 9/11 Truth also was represented in The Elite News Dr. Martin Luther King Parade-“The People’s Parade.” This parade is the second largest of its kind in the country, and has always been dubbed “The Peoples Parade.” In 2008, it was reported to have had a turnout of an estimated 200,000 people.
The press was favorable. The live radiostation DJ announces that “9/11 was an inside job”…that he knows, because he saw Loose Change.
The Dallas Morning News wrote: “…and conspiracy theorists offered free computer disks EXPLAINING WHAT REALLY HAPPENED ON Sept. 11.”
Members of the Dallas based “North Texans for 9/11 Truth” marched carrying signs, handing out newspaper-sized flyers and DVDs to the eagerly receptive crowds along the street. “Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth” was represented in the group with an engineer driving in from a hundred miles away to join in the march.
People in the crowds would shout out: “Right on!” “I know it was!” (an inside job) “Yea!” “We know that is right!” “Expose the coverup!” “Inside job!”
There are many unique stories and anecdotes to tell about these two dynamic marches!
People clamored for DVDs and printed material. A lady watching the parade asked for a… Continue reading
