Arizona Senator Karen Johnson: ‘We deserve the full truth about 9/11’

We deserve the full truth about 9/11
Tale of Building 7’s collapse suggests official complicity, persistent obstruction

Regarding “Drinking the 9/11 Kool-Aid” (Editorial, April 24):

After three government investigations and more than six years, we still don’t have answers on 9/11.

Why, for example, did Building 7 collapse? It wasn’t hit by a plane, as the towers were. The 9/11 Commission Report completely ignores Building 7. The Federal Emergency Management Agency report discounts fire as a cause and concludes that the reasons for the collapse of Building 7 are unknown and require further research.…

Developer (Silverstein) Sues to Win $12.3 Billion in 9/11 Attack

March 27, 2008
By Anemona Hartocollis

Larry A. Silverstein, who has won nearly $4.6 billion in insurance payments to cover his losses and help him rebuild at the World Trade Center site, is seeking $12.3 billion in damages from airlines and airport security companies for the 9/11 attack.

Mr. Silverstein, the developer of ground zero, sought the damages, whose amount was not previously known, in a claim filed in 2004, that says the airlines and airport security companies failed to prevent terrorists from hijacking the planes used to destroy the buildings.…

In the article The Radical Alternative (Cynthia McKinney), Mumia Abu-Jamal puts forth a serious question, why not Cynthia McKinney?

Cynthia McKinney takes speaking truth to power to a whole new level. She has time and again stood against and spoken out about the very things we all complain about. She has taken the lashes with a grace the media never allowed you to see.…

In an interview this morning on DemocracyNow!, Green Party presidential candidate Cynthia McKinney made an articulate, powerful case for the need for third parties, and talked about the consistent sidelining of 911 truth and impeachment advocates, the dirty politics that ran her out of office and now threaten Dennis Kucinich, and other important issues.

Firefighter: Giuliani ‘ran like a coward on 9/11’

David Edwards and Adam Doster
Tuesday January 22, 2008

Families of firefighters killed in the Sept. 11 terror attacks on the World Trade Center rallied in Orlando Tuesday in anticipation of the state’s upcoming Republican primary. Unfortunately for Presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani, the firefighters are not in his corner.

“We want America to know that [the Giuliani campaign] is lying to America and to the American pubic,” said Jim Riches, a deputy chief in the New York Fire Department, “telling all of Florida that the New York City Fire Department backs him, when that’s another lie.”

Firefighters and their families vowed to dog the former New York mayor at all of his Florida campaign stops because the state figures prominently in Giuliani’s big-state primary strategy.…

Snoop Chief: Mohamed Atta Took Us by Surprise

Truth News
January 17, 2008

Image of NSA logo“The US Director of National Intelligence asserts that the terror attacks of September 11, 2001, were caused by weak domestic wiretapping laws,” David Edwards and Mike Sheehan write for Raw Story. “Vice Admiral Mike McConnell, former head of the National Security Agency who was appointed DNI in 2007 by President Bush, spoke today to a group of students in St. Mary’s City, Missouri, about the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA), a federal statute that outlines procedures for electronic surveillance by the US intelligence community.”

According to McConnell, “alleged 9/11 conspirator Mohamed Atta” was able to pull of his dastardly deed because he was “invisible to your intelligence” after he entered the United States.…

Japan Questions 9/11 and the Global War on Terror

Title: “Transcript Of Japanese Parliament’s 911 Testimony”

Faculty Evaluator: Mickey S. Huff, MA

Testimony in the Japanese parliament, broadcast live on Japanese television in January 2008, challenged the premise and validity of the Global War on Terror. Parliament member Yukihisa Fujita insisted that an investigation be conducted into the war’s origin: the events of 9/11.

In a parliament Defense and Foreign Affairs Committee session held to debate the ethics of renewing Japan’s “anti-terror law,” which commits Japan to providing logistical support for coalition forces operating in Afghanistan, Fujita opened the session by stating, “I would like to talk about the origin of this war on terrorism, which was the attacks of 9/11, .…

Why Cheney Likes Mukasey for A.G.

By Robert Parry
September 19, 2007

In praising George W. Bush’s new choice for Attorney General, Vice President Dick Cheney identified one freedom in particular that retired Judge Michael Mukasey would protect: “the freedom from fear of terrorist attacks.”

The comment spoke volumes about the Bush administration’s priorities, fitting with the President’s oft-repeated claim that the government has no more important duty than to protect the American people.

That this claim goes unchallenged — despite the fact that the oath administered to federal officials demands that they defend the Constitution and says nothing about public safety — has been a leading indicator of how Bush and Cheney have exploited the self-centeredness of many Americans to amass unprecedented executive power.…

Three Years Later: Another Look At Three Claims from UL

By Kevin Ryan

It has been nearly three years since I wrote a letter to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), about their World Trade Center investigation.[1] Shortly after firing me for writing this letter, my former employer, Underwriters Laboratories (UL), began making some suspicious statements.

Editor’s Note:
A chemist, fired from Underwriters Laboratories for questioning their deceptive methodologies in tests of the WTC floor assemblies post-9/11, systematically critiques the changing explanations for the collapses in the four official studies to date.…

Spitzer’s Real Scandal

The Spitzer scandals continue.

On the 6th anniversary of the 9/11 attack, Brooklyn activist newspaper the New York Megaphone breaks this exclusive story:

NY Governor Eliot Spitzer filed an amicus brief on 1/15/03 on behalf of the World Trade Center’s controversial lease-holder, the real estate magnate Larry Silverstein. This document shows that Spitzer, as Attorney General, helped Silverstein get the whopping $4.5 billion windfall for the 9/11 attacks. The record is clear: Spitzer helped reverse a lower court’s decision, by making credible Silverstein’s argument that the two different plane crashes on 9/11/01 should be compensated as two different terrorist attacks.…

Robert Fisk–Even I question the ‘truth’ about 9/11

Even I question the ‘truth’ about 9/11

By Robert Fisk

Published: 25 August 2007

Each time I lecture abroad on the Middle East, there is always someone in the audience — just one — whom I call the “raver”. Apologies here to all the men and women who come to my talks with bright and pertinent questions — often quite humbling ones for me as a journalist — and which show that they understand the Middle East tragedy a lot better than the journalists who report it.…

Specter, Leahy question use of 9/11 fund money

Associated Press Writer

August 4, 2007

WASHINGTON: Two senators want to know why a $1 billion Sept. 11 insurance fund appropriated by Congress to help ailing ground zero workers has not been used to compensate those exposed to harmful substances.

Senate Judiciary Chairman Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., and the committee’s ranking Republican, Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania, said in a letter to the insurance company overseeing the Sept. 11 health-related claims that they are considering convening a hearing in September.…

Congressman Denied Access To Post-Attack Continuity Plans

Congressman Denied Access To Post-Attack Continuity Plans

Newhouse News Service

Washington – Constituents called Rep. Peter DeFazio’s office, worried there was a conspiracy buried in the classified portion of a White House plan for operating the government after a terrorist attack.

As a member of the House Committee on Homeland Security, DeFazio, D-Ore., is permitted to enter a secure “bubbleroom” in the Capitol and examine classified material. So he asked the White House to see the secret documents.…

John Conyers Is No Martin Luther King

What do Rep. John Conyers, D-Michigan, chair of the House Committee on the Judiciary, and President George W. Bush have in common? They both think they can dis Cindy Sheehan and count on gossip columnists like the Washington Post’s Dana Milbank to trivialize a historic moment.

I’ll give this to President Bush. He makes no pretence when he disses.…

The Libby Commutation: Coincidence, or Conspiracy?

The President of the United States has the unrestrained Power of granting Pardons for Treason; which may be sometimes exercised to screen from punishment those whom he had secretly instigated to commit the Crime, & thereby prevent a Discovery of his own Guilt. — George Mason (1725-1792), the “father of the Bill of Rights,” noting his objection to presidential pardon powers in his first draft commentary on the Constitution of the United States he helped write

9/11 Presents Challenges for Giuliani

By Larry McShane
AP Writer

NEW YORK (AP) — Rudy Giuliani’s White House aspirations are inescapably tied
to September 11, 2001 — for better and for worse.

While the former mayor of the nation’s largest city was widely lionized for
his post-9/11 leadership — “Churchillian” was one adjective, “America’s
mayor” was Oprah Winfrey’s assessment — city firefighters and their families
are renewing their attacks on him for his performance before and after the terrorist
