WASHINGTON, July 3 — The Central Intelligence Agency has closed a unit that for a decade had the mission of hunting Osama bin Laden and his top lieutenants, intelligence officials confirmed Monday.
The unit, known as Alec Station, was disbanded late last year and its analysts reassigned within the C.I.A. Counterterrorist Center, the officials said.
The decision is a milestone for the agency, which formed the unit before Osama bin Laden became a household name and bolstered its ranks after the Sept.…

Associated Press coverage of the New York 9/11 Truth group’s “9/11 First Responders: Voices From The Pit” speak-out. This is the group’s latest outreach effort to the toxin-stricken first responder community, which badly needs the solidarity given the stunning official neglect it still endures.

smear of blood.…

Alex Jones’ hugely successful, energetic, and brilliantly named “9/11 and the Neo-Con Agenda” conference gets covered here by British wire service, Reuters. Reuters feeds every major news outlet in America, but, strange to say, the last time we checked Google News only Aljazeera, Alarab, and Tehran Times seem to have found this overflow event newsworthy. It’s enough to make you believe in conspiracies of silence. But of course that’s only a theory…

Interesting little microcosmic tale of official 9/11 consciousness – private contractor gets caught stealing first responder supplies, but FBI looks the other way ’cause a bunch of government suits were also out there looting. (May explain why the FBI doesn’t want to charge Bin Laden either…) The whistleblowers who told the FBI “lost their jobs, received death threats and were blackballed in the disaster relief industry.” The lead whistleblower later lamented if he knew what would happen he would have kept his mouth shut.

About 10 years ago, I was asked to perform comedy at a conference I quickly dubbed “the Paranoids Conference.” Each presenter had a dark tale to tell of abductions, drug running, assassinations and other nefarious horrors too terrible to mention. There were whispers of government agents in our midst, so when it was my turn to perform, I said I was with the CIA. I paused while the audience gasped.…
Monday AOL News logged the NY Times report on the Chicago 9/11 conference (below) as their Most Popular News Story throughout the day and over 180,000 people responded to the attached poll. (See AOL version here.) It has now completely vanished from the Most Popular page (and every other story list on the site), despite the fact that only about 70,000 people voted in the week’s Most Popular story poll. And consider the even odder fact that Google “9/11” News Alerts still do not list the NY Times story (and they also declined to run our Zogby poll press release even though PRWeb sent it to them at least three times).…

CHICAGO, June 4 — In the ballroom foyer of the Embassy Suites Hotel, the two-day International Education and Strategy Conference for 9/11 Truth was off to a rollicking start.

While the 9/11 Commission Report inquiry has its share of critics, Jonathan
Gold’s misgivings about the official findings go far beyond skepticism. In fact,
the 33-year-old Plymouth Meeting resident is convinced the report is covering
up Bush administration complicity in the deadly terrorist attacks.
Gold’s unorthodox view has caused many jaws to drop and heads to shake. When
asked for proof, he calmly rattles off a long list of like-minded people, and
what he called a growing body of “evidence” that the government orchestrated
the attacks as a pretext for the global war on terror.…

NEW ZOGBY POLL REVEALS OVER 70 MILLION VOTING AGE AMERICANS DISTRUST OFFICIAL 9/11 STORY AND SUPPORT NEW INVESTIGATION OF POSSIBLE US GOVERNMENT ROLE IN THE ATTACKS.*
– 911Truth.org urges 2006 reform candidates to recognize a powerful new constituency.
(Utica, NY) – Although the Bush administration continues to exploit September 11 to justify domestic spying, unprecedented spending and a permanent state of war, a new Zogby poll reveals that less than half of the American public trusts the official 9/11 story or believes the attacks were adequately investigated.…

The Pentagon wasn’t hit by a Boeing 757 jetliner. It was hit by a flying grilled cheese sandwich. How do I know? I clearly saw it in the video frames released by the FBI, there on the right. Not everybody sees the grilled cheese sandwich, I admit. Some people see a Boeing 757 jet out of the same blur that I’m pretty sure is a grilled cheese sandwich.
It’s astonishing, really. According to almost every reporter in the mainstream media, a Boeing 757 jet, when photographed, looks exactly like an indistinguishable blur.…
Survey Methodology:This is a telephone survey of adults nationwide conducted by Zogby International. The target sample is 1,200 interviews with approximately 81 questions asked. Samples are randomly drawn from telephone cd’s of national listed sample. Zogby International surveys employ sampling strategies in which selection probabilities are proportional to population size within area codes and exchanges.…
The minute the Pentagon released images of the Sept. 11 attack on its building, the message boards at ABCNEWS.com lit up with conspiracy theories.
Some blame it on an inside job by members of the Bush administration to benefit their business interests. Some say it was planned by neoconservatives to advance their worldview. Others don’t know what happened but doubt the official story put forward by the government.
The world of conspiracy theories surrounding the Sept.…

Once again, Attytood gives you tomorrow’s news today. This is our story that will run on the front page of the Daily News, looking at a few of the unanswered questions that may get lost in the hoopla about the opening of the movie “United 93”:
Virtually everything that is known about United Flight 93, the hijacked jetliner that crashed into a coal field in western Pennsylvania, has been put into the new Hollywood feature film about the doomed voyage.…

When the Sept. 11 terror attacks occurred, Russell Pickering was working as a professional firefighter in Seattle.
Especially because of his profession, he was deeply affected.
“The loss of firefighters and police was significant to me because of what I did,” he recalled.
His initial interest devolved into probing questions and eventually frustration that the federal government seemed unwilling to provide answers. From a network of contacts and information, Pickering has created a Web site about the attack on the Pentagon, www.pentagonresearch.com.…

Actor Charlie Sheen made history when he first questioned the official story of 9/11, calling it the “biggest conspiracy theory of them all.” Sheen’s comments sent shockwaves across the alternative media and have been one of the biggest stories on the internet for weeks. The story also garnered prime time coverage by major news outlets including CNN, FOX News, and hundreds of newspapers worldwide.…
Extremely hot fires caused structures to fail, BYU expert says
By Suzanne Dean
For the Deseret Morning News
EPHRAIM — A Brigham Young University physicist said he now believes an incendiary substance called thermite, bolstered by sulfur, was used to generate exceptionally hot fires at the World Trade Center on 9/11, causing the structural steel to fail and the buildings to collapse.
“It looks like thermite with sulfur added, which really is a very clever idea,” Steven Jones, professor of physics at BYU, told a meeting of the Utah Academy of Science, Arts and Letters at Snow College Friday.…

I never much cared for Tucker Carlson. His generic brand of silly bowtie journalism
led to his dismissal from CNN (yes, he was fired), and his nightly broadcast
on MSNBC hardly warrants much attention. Frankly, the man is an intellectual
lightweight with limited talents, and I suspect his career will ultimately fade
Sadly, America has become all too accustomed to so-called cable “news”
pundits who use their national platform to foist lies, distortions, misquotes
and smear tactics on the American public.…
W. David Kubiak thought the 9/11 attacks would be a “wake up call.”
“Once you could accept 9/11, you could say, ‘I’ve really got to look at the world again with new eyes,'” he said during a recent phone interview with The Wire .
Kubiak is a member of the steering committee of 911truth.org , a group formed “to investigate, unearth, and widely publicize the full truth surrounding September 11th, 2001.”
It’s been three years since the start of U.S.…
