Architect to Speak in DC on 9/11 World Trade Center Destruction
Professional group to present evidence to Congress

Berkeley, CA -- Monday, July 13, through Friday, July 17, the nonprofit group DC911Truth will bring San Francisco Bay Area architect Richard Gage, AIA, to Washington, DC, for a series of public events and meetings with congressional representatives. Gage represents more than 700 architects and engineers who cite evidence for explosive demolition as the cause of the destruction of the three World Trade Center towers on 9/11. After careful examination of forensic data inconsistent with the official account, these professionals are calling for a new, independent investigation into the 9/11 attacks.

A practicing architect for more than 20 years, Gage is the founder of Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth (AE911Truth). Comprised of more than 4,500 total petition signers, members, architects, engineers, physicists and scientists, the organization contends at its website, AE911Truth.org, that the official FEMA and NIST reports fail to explain the towers' destruction. The group's evidence includes the admitted free-fall of Building 7, the constancy of the acceleration of the North Tower, and nanothermite residues in the WTC dust. Events

Key Evidence -- WTC 7

AE911Truth points in particular to the destruction of the third skyscraper, 47-story World Trade Center 7. This building was not hit by an aircraft, yet collapsed straight down in less than seven seconds for more than 100 feet fell of free-fall -- showing no resistance at all. Free-fall means that virtually all of the supporting heavy steel structure was shattered and moved out of the way by something other than the weight of the upper section. If the upper section had been crushing weakened, overloaded steel, the collapse would have proceeded at a slower pace than free-fall. This is high school physics.
NIST, the federal agency last assigned to investigate the destruction, admitted both of the key facts above. However, they did so obscurely, in two very different documents, not allowing these facts to change their conclusion that fire alone brought down a steel-framed skyscraper, for the first time in history, evenly, rapidly, and exactly in the manner of a classic controlled demolition. Such intransigence would appear, at best, to follow in the footsteps of what National Intelligence Director Michael McConnell called a failure to "connect the dots" that was responsible for allowing 9/11 to occur in the first place. Gage asks "What is keeping these dots from being connected by people who surely know high school physics?"

AE911Truth bases its conclusions solely on forensic evidence and does not engage in conspiracy theories or in assigning blame for the destruction. The group's conclusions are shared by hundreds of scientists, senior-level military, intelligence and government officials; pilots and aviation professionals; scholars and university professors; 9/11 survivors and family members; and media professionals around the world.

Explosive Residues Found in World Trade Center Dust

A Danish chemist, AE911Truth petition signer Dr. Niels Harrit, was interviewed by Danish network television on April 6. The interview, now viewed nearly 250,000 times, discusses the advanced nanoengineered explosive residues found in the World Trade Center dust by an international team. These residues point to the use of nanothermite in the Towers' destruction. Nanothermite was developed in the 1990s by US national laboratories and defense contractors. Not a Fringe Phenomenon

The 9/11 Truth movement, which Time magazine called "a mainstream political reality," is gaining rapid momentum. As AE911Truth's own influence grows, Gage has embarked on numerous speaking tours covering 19 U.S. states and 10 countries. The organization recently staffed a booth at the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Convention in San Francisco, where another 50 architects and engineers signed the petition.
