Announcement from NY 9/11 Truth and the L.E.S./WTC Truth Movement

On Sunday September 11, 2005 we will march from the offices of the New York Times (near Times Square), passing other major media headquarters on the way to a rally and concert at the United Nations. We will demand that the International Criminal Court (ICC) open an immediate investigation into the unsolved crimes of 9/11.

Please mark your calendars if you can make it to NYC that weekend. We ask you to send the announcement below (starting below at "FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE") to everyone you can -- especially anyone you may know in the New York area, your media contacts, and any Internet boards or lists you frequent.

If you can't join a caravan of like-minded people and travel to New York for the march, please consider holding a linked event in your own town. (Let us know and we'll announce it at 911Truth.org and other venues.)

Since last year's "Summer of Truth," NY 9/11 Truth and 911Truth.org have drawn thousands of individual New Yorkers to dozens of speaking events. This summer, with the mood among City residents more skeptical of the official story than ever before, we want to get 10,000 people to one single public event to finally show that we skeptics of the government's Official 9/11 Conspiracy Theory are legion. Together, we can do it!

The march may or may not result in an article in the New York Times, but that is hardly the point. The march will be witnessed by many thousands of people in Manhattan and by the hundreds of international journalists who will be in town for that week's General Assembly of the United Nations. And it will galvanize many future actions in defense of truth and justice.

In Case You're Wondering:
--Yes, the Times is open on Sunday, otherwise there wouldn't be a Monday paper.
--We are not begging the corporate media who have covered up the reality of 9/11 to suddenly change course. Rather, we want to serve notice to them that millions of people are aware of their failures and complicity, and are organizing themselves.
--Our rally at the UN will appeal to the new International Criminal Court to perform its stated function, and is not directed at the Security Council or other UN institutions that many people consider illegitimate.

Last year, an opinion poll by Zogby International discovered that 49% of New York City residents believe U.S. officials knew about 9/11 in advance and "consciously failed" to act.?

We the People of NY and the World DEMAND:

That the International Criminal Court to investigate the crimes of Sept. 11, 2001; the MURDER of thousands of innocent civilians and the physical destruction of the WTC complex,

And that the Corporate Media fulfill their obligation to THE PUBLIC and uphold transparency in our Democracy through the conveying of truth, and not simply the "news that fits", and thereby enable THE PEOPLE to bring to justice those responsible for these crimes.
