9/11 Families and Survivors Group File Expanded Complaint Urging New Spitzer-led Investigations into 9/11 – Will Announce Press Conference and Further Steps Next Week
New York, NY (October 28, 2004) – Today a group of 9/11 victim family representatives, survivors and first responders files an updated 35-page Complaint and Petition with New York State Attorney General Eliot Spitzer. Chief Investigator William Casey accepted the original Complaint/Petition from the Complainants on October 28th. In a call for truth and accountability, the Complaint demands that the AG open a criminal inquiry and/or grand jury investigation into the many still unsolved crimes of September 11, 2001 over which his office has jurisdiction. Co-complainant Bob McIlvaine, who lost his son in the attacks, said this is now absolutely necessary so that “justice is finally done.”
The group which operates under a “Justice for 9/11″ banner is posting the Complaint online at www.Justicefor911.org where those who wish to express their support can sign an electronic petition. “In essence the Complaint calls for criminal and civil probes into previously suppressed or ignored areas of inquiry identified by victim family members and others who have formally posed many questions to Congress, the 9/11 Commission, the FBI and other government agencies. Most of these questions have still not been addressed, let alone answered. There’s been zero accountability and full story behind 9/11 has yet to be told,” said Kyle F. Hence, spokesperson… Continue reading

UL Letter text:
On Nov. 11, 2004, a letter from Kevin Ryan, a former employee of Underwriters Laboratories Inc., addressed to the National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST), was posted on a Web site called the 9-11 Visibility Project (www.septembereleventh.org). In the letter, Mr. Ryan speculated on the causes of the collapse of the World Trade Center towers.
Mr. Ryan wrote the letter without UL’s knowledge or authorization. Mr. Ryan was neither qualified nor authorized to speak on UL’s behalf regarding this issue. The opinions he expressed in the letter are his own and do not reflect those of Underwriters Laboratories Inc.
UL’s Fire Protection Division has assisted NIST in its investigations regarding the collapse of the WTC towers. However, Mr. Ryan was not involved in that work and was not associated in any way with UL’s Fire Protection Division, which conducted testing at NIST’s request. Rather, Mr. Ryan was employed in UL’s water testing business, Environmental Health Laboratory, in South Bend, Indiana.
Underwriters Laboratories Inc. fully supports NIST’s ongoing efforts to investigate the WTC tragedy. We regret any confusion that Mr. Ryan’s letter has caused 9/11 survivors, victims’ families and their friends.

Re: Spitzer Complaint, Ryan & 911Truth.org news
Dear Readers of 911Truth.org,
What can you do? News on “Justice for 9/11,” the Omissions Hearings, the Kevin Ryan story, and developments at 911Truth.org:
Justice for 9/11
Last week the “Justice for 9/11″ Coalition filed a restated and amended Citizen’s Complaint and Petition with the Attorney General of New York State, Eliot Spitzer, citing probable cause to convene a grand jury on unsolved crimes surrounding the events of September 11, 2001. (See press release. )
The Citizens’ Complaint and Petition is unprecedented. Unlike a few other states, New York law does not provide a formal procedure for it. We are trying to invent a new legal wheel, and we need your help.
Nine highly regarded complainants from among September 11 family members, first responders and New York citizens have signed on, and many others are carefully considering whether to join them.
We are inviting friendly support statements from other groups, in the style of amicus briefs, and looking for new coalition members. And we ask everyone to please sign the electronic Petition of Solidarity at the “Justice” site, and get your friends on board!
This work is by no means finished, despite the weeks of hard work by a team advised by legal counsel Carolyn Betts. We aren’t pretending that we’ve covered every aspect of possible 9/11 crimes in the present version of the Complaint and Petition. As we’ve told Spitzer’s office, this is a living document, of, for and by citizens, and… Continue reading

SOUTH BEND — The laboratory director from a South Bend firm has been fired for attempting to cast doubt on the federal investigation into what caused the World Trade Center’s twin towers to collapse on Sept. 11, 2001.
Kevin R. Ryan was terminated Tuesday from his job at Environmental Health Laboratories Inc., a subsidiary of Underwriters Laboratories Inc., the consumer-product safety testing giant.
On Nov. 11, Ryan wrote a letter to the National Institute of Standards and Technology — the agency probing the collapse — challenging the common theory that burning jet fuel weakened the steel supports holding up the 110-story skyscrapers.
Underwriters Laboratories Inc., according to Ryan, “was the company that certified the steel components used in the construction of the WTC buildings.”
Ryan wrote that last year, while “requesting information,” UL’s chief executive officer and fire protection business manager disagreed about key issues surrounding the collapse, “except for one thing — that the samples we certified met all requirements.”
UL vehemently denied last week that it ever certified the materials.
The National Institute of Standards and Technology is conducting a $16 million, two-year investigation of the collapse of the twin towers. The agency expects to issue a draft report in January, and UL has played a limited role in the investigation.
Ryan wrote that the institute’s preliminary reports suggest the WTC’s supports were probably… Continue reading
To all 911Truth list members and other visitors to our site,
Since our up-against-the-wailing-wall funds plea yesterday (12/2/04) we have already received quite a few hundred dollars for which we are extremely grateful. We’ve also gotten a few notes telling us to go shakedown our alleged “backers” Adnan Khasshoggi, Terry McAuliffe or George Soros which we found so hilarious we’re sort of grateful for them too. There was some legitimate questioning of our financial history though, the most thoughtful of which we reproduce below.
In answer to the main money questions, we readily admit we should have been practicing a lot more of the transparency that we advocate for everyone else. We have been quiet about our backing not because it is so sinister or powerful, but because there has been so very little there at all. We have indeed been enormously effective and trying to look and act “professional” despite the funder shortfall, and just presumed (and prayed) that we were also operating in a righteous field of dreams zone and “when we built it they would come.”
Since we first got our act together this year in April until the end of October, our entire operating budget for rallies, projects, websites, PR, salaries, telecom and office supplies has been something like $75,000. (Our costs on the other hand have exceeded $95 thou, the difference being foregone salaries and out-of-pocket expenses which we certainly did miss but could hardly grudge given the circumstances.)
As for sources, our main backing… Continue reading
Distrust of U.S. Fuels Stories About Source of the Attacks By IAN JOHNSON THE WALL STREET JOURNAL
September 29, 2003
His thesis: The U.S. government staged the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks on New York and Washington to justify wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. It is a tentative theory, he admits, based mostly on his doubt that Osama bin Laden’s al Qaeda terrorist group launched the attacks.
“That’s something that is simply 99% false,” he said at a reading of his book on the second anniversary of the attacks.
A crackpot? A conspiracy theorist who believes that Elvis lives and the CIA murdered Kennedy? Not exactly. Mr. von Bulow, 66 years old, is a former German cabinet minister, a trim, silver-haired man whose book comes from one of the country’s most prestigious publishing houses and who lectures at well-known public institutions.
He’s not alone: In recent months, Germany’s leading broadcaster, ARD, ran a purported documentary making similar claims, while half a dozen other German authors have published… Continue reading

Fine, lean and interestingly timed recounting of Hitler’s terror-assisted rise. – Ed.
Living in a state of terror has to be experienced to be understood. Many of us who live in tough neighbourhoods worry when we go out of our houses but we usually feel safe enough inside. And we definitely do not have to worry about the door being broken down by the police or National Guard, provided we have done nothing wrong.
Too late, the ordinary German realized that the violence which before had been directed against ‘other’ people could now equally land on him, especially when he saw what Goering did in Prussia where he was the Minister of the Interior and controlled the police. He simply augmented the police numbers with 50,000 men of which 40,000 came from the SA and issued orders that no force was too great in apprehending the enemies of the State; at the time Prussia covered about two-thirds of Germany. No one could, therefore, rely on the law, and justice no longer existed.
In the Cabinet formed by Hitler, the President and the other parties as a result of the ‘hung’ election of November 1932, Hitler was Chancellor but the Nazis had only two more posts, out of a total of 11. One of them was given to Goering, who was named Minister without Portfolio; almost unnoticed, he became Prussia’s Interior Minister as well in the general share out of posts. The Nazis and… Continue reading
From a March 2003 interview:
HT: He’s taken this nation from a, let me think looking at it from a, just objectively, from a prosperous nation at peace to a broke nation at war.
Right, but I mean, there were those assholes who flew the plane into the World Trade Center.
HT: Who were they indeed? Now, do you believe that, that a bunch of Arabs jumped up from some kind of a campfire and fucking mountains over there and snuck into this country and hijacked those planes and did that by themselves?
Well what are you proposing? I mean I think they were funded years ago by the CIA and it was a blowback, but, I don’t think there was any direct… Are you saying there might be some other American agency or some international agency that directly supported them in that?
HT: Uhh, this is tricky territory, but yeah, that’s what I’m getting at.
HT: I can’t sit here and jerk up documents like Joe McCarthy, there’s no proof of that. But I’m sure there is. And the idea that we’re getting the whole story through the media, or from the president, is absurd on its face because you never do, for one thing. And there’s so many unanswered questions and loose ends and uh, lets see, well, lies!

BERKELEY — Politically conservative agendas may range from supporting the Vietnam War to upholding traditional moral and religious values to opposing welfare. But are there consistent underlying motivations?
Four researchers who culled through 50 years of research literature about the psychology of conservatism report that at the core of political conservatism is the resistance to change and a tolerance for inequality, and that some of the common psychological factors linked to political conservatism include:
“From our perspective, these psychological factors are capable of contributing to the adoption of conservative ideological contents, either independently or in combination,” the researchers wrote in an article, “Political Conservatism as Motivated Social Cognition,” recently published in the American Psychological Association’s Psychological Bulletin.
Assistant Professor Jack Glaser of the University of California, Berkeley’s Goldman School of Public Policy and Visiting Professor Frank Sulloway of UC Berkeley joined lead author, Associate Professor John Jost of Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business, and Professor Arie Kruglanski of the University of Maryland at College Park, to analyze the literature on conservatism.
The psychologists sought patterns among 88 samples, involving 22,818 participants, taken from journal articles, books and conference papers. The material originating from 12 countries included speeches and interviews given by politicians, opinions and verdicts rendered by judges, as well as experimental, field and survey studies.
Ten meta-analytic calculations performed on… Continue reading
Although Libertarians, old school conservatives and progressives have been most active promoting 9/11 truth, their eventual victory will serve almost every conceivable constituency except perhaps the neocons, Dominionists and corporatist right. All 9/11 truth seekers have their own distinct approaches however, and the following is a recent example of the progressive style.

Everyone has heard, and has probably used the term “conspiracy theorist,” and the fact of the term being in common use, also indicates that we generally agree on what it means. I saw a movie by that name, and the title character was a raving lunatic who kept his food in thermoses with combination locks to reduce his chances of being poisoned by imaginary enemies.
Regardless of how the stupid movie turned out, what’s important here is the common perception people have of someone to whom that label is applied, and just as important, is who it is that applies the label. The common perception is that someone who is labeled a “conspiracy theorist” is suffering from some type of psychological disorder, and that label is usually applied to people by our government, and our news media. The next thing to consider, is that the label is applied to anyone who questions our government’s version of events in any matter. Doesn’t it logically follow that the media are teaching us to assume that anyone who questions the government is insane? When that label is applied to a person, doesn’t it become easy to dismiss everything they say without even hearing it? How convenient for them.
I think the label first became widely used to slander people who questioned the details surrounding the JFK assassination, and forty years later, there aren’t too many thinking people who still believe the Warren Commission’s “lone… Continue reading
9/11 Victims, National Security Whistleblowers, Go to Court to Support Sibel Edmonds; Demand Government Stop Silencing Employees Who Expose Security Risks
WASHINGTON, D.C. (January 21, 2005) – An unprecedented group of national security whistleblowers and family members of 9/11 victims’ families will gather Wednesday, January 26th to demand that the government halt its detrimental practice of silencing employees who expose national security blunders.
The event comes as several 9/11 family member advocacy groups and public interest organizations file a friend-of-the-court brief in support of Sibel Edmonds’ case against the government.
Edmonds, a former Middle Eastern language specialist hired by the FBI shortly after 9/11, was fired in 2002 after repeatedly reporting serious security breaches and misconduct in the agency’s translation program. She challenged her retaliatory dismissal by filing suit in federal court. Last July, the district court dismissed her case when Attorney General John Ashcroft invoked the so-called state secrets privilege. The ACLU is representing Edmonds in the appeal.
The event will be held at 12 p.m. at the National Press Club. Speakers will include Edmonds, ACLU Associate Legal Director Ann Beeson, FBI whistleblower Mike German, 9/11 family member Bill Doyle and others. Many high level national security whistleblowers and 9/11 family members will be at the event and available for interviews.
The event comes on the heels of last week’s release of an unclassified summary of the Justice Department’s Inspector General report investigating Edmonds’ termination. The report concluded that Edmonds was fired for reporting serious security breaches and misconduct… Continue reading
From the Resonant Resurrections Dept: This wise little version of “Cover-ups for Dummies” has been floating on the Net since the late ’90s at least. Given the government/media handling of 9/11, the resulting wars, and recent electoral fraud it often seems our top officials must read it everyday. If we’re to bring the truth alive in 2005, it may help to occasionally remind ourselves how the pros play the game.
Note: The first rule and last five (or six, depending on situation) rules are generally not directly within the ability of the traditional disinfo artist to apply. These rules are generally used more directly by those at the leadership, key players, or planning level of the criminal conspiracy or conspiracy to cover up.
1. Hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil. Regardless of what you know, don’t discuss it — especially if you are a public figure, news anchor, etc. If it’s not reported, it didn’t happen, and you never have to deal with the issues.
2. Become incredulous and indignant. Avoid discussing key issues and instead focus on side issues which can be used show the topic as being critical of some otherwise sacrosanct group or theme. This is also known as the “How dare you!” gambit.
3. Create rumor mongers. Avoid discussing issues by describing all charges, regardless of venue or evidence, as mere rumors and wild accusations. Other derogatory terms mutually exclusive of truth may work as well. This method works especially well with a silent press, because the only way the public can learn of the facts are through such “arguable rumors”. If you can associate the material with the Internet, use this fact to certify it a “wild rumor” which can have no basis in fact.
“…The world of conspiracy theories, it is like a zoo. It is like a black hole. It is the place we as a culture toss ideas that don’t fit quite right, that unsettle and disturb and cause us to shudder…
“And it is the place the Powers That Be will toss any sinister and dark questions about their behavior, safe in the knowledge that anyone who goes to look for the answer will have to dive into that gnarled world and will look foolish and silly and will be probably be laughed off the stage…
“Sometimes it’s all you — or I — can do to hint at the existence of these radical notions and illuminate the frightening possibilities and scream into the Void, hoping to agitate and inform and inspire while still covering your professional butt….
“After all, once you allow the real possibility of UFOs or psychic healing or crop-circle phenomena or the notion that we could very well have a hugely malicious, criminal U.S. government capable of pulling a 9/11 on its own citizens, well, the happy capitalistic all-American Christian world begins to implode. Foundations crumble. Trust in our institutions vanishes. Gods fall and doctrines crumble and televangelists spontaneously combust and everyone starts reimagining the social order in ways that absolutely terrify those who now hold the reins.”
Full Monty here.

January 18, 2005 (FTW) – In an argument of over 600 pages and 1,000 footnotes, Crossing the Rubicon makes the case for official complicity within the U.S. government and names Dick Cheney as the prime suspect in the crimes of 9/11. Since the publication of this book (to which I had the privilege of contributing a chapter), many people have asked to hear the case against Cheney argued “short & sweet.”
I will make it as short as possible, but it can never be sweet.
There are 3 major points made within this book that are crucial to proving Cheney’s guilt. I shall first list them and then go on to prove each point as laid out in Crossing the Rubicon.
Sibel Edmonds’ Keynote Speech at the ACLU
National Security Whistleblower Press Conference
National Press Club, Hashington, DC
January 26, 2005
As many readers know, Sibel Edmonds is the heroic FBI whistleblower who in the spring of 2004 exposed the bureau translation department’s rampant negligence, corruption, and possession of early warnings of the 9/11 attacks. For more on her subsequent FBI firing, Ashcroft gagging, and dismissal by the 9/11 Commission, clickhere
Her Speech: A few days ago, during an interview, I was asked to provide comments regarding the Inspector General’s Report into my allegations, and I was asked whether or not I agreed with the Report’s conclusion that the FBI did not take my reports and allegations seriously, although they were supported by facts, evidence, and other witnesses.
From one perspective, my answer was: yes; despite all the facts, evidence, and other witnesses, the bureau chose not to investigate the espionage case and other criminal acts committed against the United States, its people, and its national security; instead they chose to cover it up.
On the other hand, from another perspective, my answer was: No; they took my case, and their objective, which was to cover up these issues and criminal acts, extremely seriously. After all, for the past three years they have been relentlessly and in an unprecedented manner engaged in actions geared towards covering up my reports and investigations into my allegations.
Lets talk about these unconstitutional and un-American actions, shall we? Gagging the United States Congress,… Continue reading

Michael Chertoff, appointed by President Bush to head the Homeland Security Department, may have shielded from criminal prosecution a former client suspected by law enforcement of having funneled millions of dollars directly to Osama Bin Laden while in charge of the U.S. Government’s 9.11 investigation. Egyptian-born Dr. Magdy el-Amir, a prominent New Jersey neurologist, was at the center of terrorist intrigue in Jersey City.
WIRE TRANSFERS TO “UNKNOWN PARTIES”
Chertoff’s client “caused more than $5.7 million to be paid by wire transfers to unknown parties,” said the lawsuit filed shortly before the state took over his failing HMO. News accounts about el-Amir’s legal difficulties contain unanswered questions about undue political influence and its effect on national security.
For example, how did el-Amir, who only the month before had been granted a state license to operate an HMO, finagle a lucrative contract from the state of New Jersey in 1995? “Why was this doctor… Continue reading
