Introduction
Although I was no longer employed at LAX on September 11, 2001, I had worked there until about two months before as the Quality Control Manager for Kiewit Pacific Construction on the Taxiway "C" project. A large part of my work involved security in the Air Port Operations, or APO (but now called the "Airport Operations Area," or "AOA"), which is where the planes are. On the morning of September 11, 2001, I listened with great interest to LAX Security officials in the APO discussing the attacks and trying to get more information.

The 9/11 documentary "ZERO" to be broadcast on Al Jazeera TV on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 in two parts and on Russian State TV on September 12, 2008 ("One") on Friday September 12th, 2008, from 9.25pm until 00.30am followed by a discussion with two US-journalists and two journalists from Russia. Estimated number of viewers: 20 million.

Berlin, September 6, 2008: 9/11 event in Germany supports demands for a new international 9/11 investigation. On September 11 the documentary "Zero" will be aired on Russian State TV.

In Berlin, Germany a 9/11 event took place on Thursday and Friday this week.

In last Monday's New York Times, David Sanger and William Broad wrote a front-page article about the CIA's involvement in the nuclear black market.

The article demonstrates (again) that the New York Times, Sanger & Broad in particular, has simply become a mouthpiece for the government (see my previous articles 1, 2, 3) but they did let one fact slip through to the readership. I can only presume that the slip was accidental, because they don't appear to have understood the ramifications of what they reported:

The US Government is covering up the fact that US citizens and entities are involved in the nuclear black market.

After five years in legal limbo, the Palestinian university professor falsely accused of terrorism is free, but faces contempt charges.

Former professor Sami Al-Arian, who was once charged by the U.S. government with being a top Palestinian terrorist, has been released from custody for the first time in more than five years.

Immigration authorities released Al-Arian to the custody of his daughter, just hours before a federal judge had ordered the agency to explain Al-Arian's continued detention.

Reports of journalists, bloggers and videomakers being arrested keep rolling in. The St. Paul police department's targeting of journalists, including Amy Goodman of Democracy Now! and the I-Witness videomakers, is having a chilling effect on free speech as the city hosts the Republican National Convention.

Many in the mainstream media are ignoring these attacks on journalism -- and some independent media makers are still in jail. But in less than 24 hours, more than 35,000 people have signed our letter demanding that press intimidation cease immediately and that all charges against journalists be dropped.

At the Ron Paul Rally for the Republic held at the Target Center in St. Paul, Minnesota a few blocks from the Republican National Convention, former Governor of Minnesota Jesse Ventura questioned 9/11 to a crowd of nearly 10,000 people and received an overwhelmingly positive response.

The assertion that 9/11 passengers lists "contained no Arab names" is frequently seen in the 9/11 truth movement.[1] For example, this article by Enver Masud is headlined, "Why are there no Arab names on the passenger list for the planes used in the September 11, 2001 attack…?"[2] The 9/11 website 9/11 Hard Facts claims, "[On] officially released passenger lists provided by the airlines to the media, no Arab names appear on any of the four passenger lists."[3] In David Ray Griffin’s 9/11: The Myth and the Reality, he repeats the claim that, "[Their] names should be on the flight manifests. But the flight manifests that have been released contain neither the names of the alleged hijackers nor any other Arab names."[4] John Leonard, Webster Tarpley and Kevin Barrett's publisher, repeats the claim that "Scholars [for 9/11 Truth]… report things like 'there were no Arabs on the passenger lists'"[5] As well, Michael C. Ruppert, citing Gary North wrote, "Another easy and non-debatable hole is with the passenger lists and the hijackers. Gary North, Ph.D. - a history professor… relied on lists published by CNN… Official reports state that there were only 19 hijackers. Second, none of listed passenger names are Arabic, Muslim… The government needs to provide an explanation for this glaring discrepancy."[6]

Posted 8/31/08: We encourage readers to pay close attention to this next week's events in Minneapolis, site of the upcoming Republican National Convention, and be prepared to help activists who may need assistance. Already, activists who have spent two years preparing to express the will of the People during the convention, are being rounded up, personal belongings seized, doors broken down with guns drawn, food from Food Not Bombs taken ... Glenn Greenwald is blogging this at Salon (partial entry below): "[B]oth journalists and lawyers -- in addition to protesters -- have been detained and arrested even though not a single violent or criminal act has occurred. Please pass along this information so that others will be informed, and able to help as it's needed. Information will be posted at these Indymedia sites to clarify what's useful. It is imperative that we let the powers that be know, without any doubt, that the nation's eyes are upon them--both in Minneapolis, and as events begin unfolding in Mississippi and Louisiana with Hurricane Gustav approaching. Already Blackwater has put out a call for security personnel to respond to the POTENTIAL disaster, and Bush has issued federal emergencies for both states. In light of what happened just three years ago, we must be alert, watchful, and ready to respond in whatever ways become needed. I'm sure legal funds will be needed in Minneapolis, and we've seen many examples of court systems make the right decisions when they start getting thousands of calls from around the nation.
